So.

*Kawasaki ZR-7S '03 (ZR750-H3) - $4,000 USD OBO. Style: Street bike. Color: Yellow. US Spec, 8,477 miles. 31.5 inches sitting height. 738 CCs.

I'm thinking about this one. Not too bad, eh? When I get pictures from the seller, I'll post them. But, anyone have anything to say about this bike, good or bad?

I like the look of the "naked" bikes, but I dont like the way the headlight housing hangs over the front of the bike on this. Other than that it looks like a really nice bike.

If it makes your heart race, then get it. I, for one, can't stand a sport bike without lower fairings. It just looks like a struck match.

my only real issue with 750cc sport bikes is they are hard to sell when you are done with them (at least around here)
everyone wants to start out on a 600cc and after that they move on to 900+cc bikes
the 750 is the red headed step child no one wants to start off on them and no one wants to upgrade to them
as i said thats in my area... YMMV

Here are some pictures of it.

I'm really excited. It looks like this is going to work out.

I'm just going to get the restrictor kit that'll knock it down to 25kW. 4k for a 03 zr7 isn't a bad deal, and the bike will grow with me a bit, because I can take the kit off after two years.

Console Pics.

I'll have the loan paperwork done soon too.

EDIT: screw a loan. That'll make it more difficult to register it. Cash all the way.

What a sad, sad country you live in. I would move to Mexico before I'll give up the factory power that something came with.

It's a 'sad sad country' because too many 18 year olds were dying on Hayabusas on the autobahn.

Did you know that the max legal speed limit in germany is 130km/h?

A couple less idiots in the world never hurt anything.

Thats like 75mph isnt it? Fastest legal speed where I live is 65mph on the expressway so dont compailn to much.

Yeah, but unlike there, here it's unenforced for the most part. You've got the occasional speed camera, but they're always in town, and in construction areas; you'd have to be really stupid to get caught doing anything more than 20km over.

Like I've said before. In the fall/spring, I drive to work on the autobahn at about 100mph steadily. If I'm feelin' frisky, it'll be more like 120mph. Here people don't car. If you have a car that will go that fast, you are well enough off to know how to drive it that fast. People who can't drive are normally eliminated pretty quickly: either via death, or not getting a license (The driving test here requires that you go to a driving school).

Oh well.

It looks like cash is the way to go with this one. I just can't get the bank to work with me on this bike. They don't have an office nearby, and they won't cut the check without getting the title. So, they want me to drive 2.5 hrs, get the title, drive 2.5hrs back, give it to them, get the check, then drive back to the guy, give him the check, get the bike, and then go home, and pay them 14% interest. So, guess what? Cash.

Wow a driving school, here I think that the BMV randomly throws a coupon for a free drivers license in a Cracker Jack box and hopes for the best.

Sorry for the threadjack, and have fun on the new toy.

A restrictor kit?..... why would you pay 4k for a 750, when it runs like a mild 250?

something doesn't add up here.

I'm starting to think why not just ride it, make it look like it has a restrictor, then ride around conservatively - until you need the power.

Because that'd be illegal. Like driving around a civic with a non-stock exhaust. Or a turbo civic, or a 2000 civic with a hondata s300 ecu in it. Duh.

I'm going to put the kit in it for the first few weeks, just to get back into riding; that way I don't kill myself because my right hand twitched a little bit.

you are a brave man... from the stories ive heard i would NOT want to fuck with the TUV

they make the SS seem like kittens
