I bought a 1989 Honda Civic Hatchback DX with lowering springs already installed.

I need normal springs so I can restore the Civic to stock.

Found front springs but the rear standard springs seem to be an enigma. Moog used to make OEM replacment rear springs and is still listed on several auto parts sites as carrying them. Each time I order, I eventually get a cancellation email saying they were discontinued.

:mellow: Can anyone help me? I'll buy plus send you my current (lowering springs) free!

Thanks for the tip! I just ordered my springs. We'll see if they come through. I had tried there once, but nothing came up for coil springs. This time I picked "shock absorber" and got the whole assembly list with a breakout on the spring.

AHHVTEC and sleeper888: I appreciate your responses. Will get back to you if reikoshea's solution doesn't complete.

OK, sleeper88, you may be my best bet. I got another cancellation e-mail. Majestic Honda said the springs aren't available.

Does anyone know if 88 springs will work on an 89?

If not, I guess I could go ask with a post to the EF forum.

Ok just to clarify they came off a 88 4door LX civic with 150,000 miles they were in good shape when i took them off. I just took them off to put coilovers on, they should fit i dont know if they are different from the 4 doors to the hatch's. I'd say $30.00 for front and back plus whatever shipping is(how much was majestic shipping? i know they rape you on handling fee's tho). I could get you pictures tomorrow if need be I do accept paypal
 
Well this saga took another turn. I really thought each of the companies I ordered these springs from had cancelled. And then I came home yesterday and found a pair of brand new springs delivered to my door.

So I've already emailed sleeper88 to tell him I don't need anything... again.
