as for the C.E.L no , no codes at all, yes i replaced the piston rings and rod bearings, honed the cylinders , as for the head, it was rebuilt by a great machine shop with the best rep in town.i used the fel pro permatorque head gasket,which i had good luck with on my v8's. i am definetely gonna pull the timing belt off again and re time it again, if the timing is "on" maybe i will try to back it up 1 tooth, so when i put tension on it it even's out, i know that these honda's are very touchy with the timing...
it only happens when it warms up though, so it most likely is a timing issue, especially because i have to fully advance the ign timing to get it to run. but it is NOT hard to start though barely hit the key and she fires right up cold or warm, but it does sound a bit lower pitched then before the rebuild (when cranking the motor over), i refuse to give up on her! she has been good to me, and i intend to be good to her,
