is waiting for summer
I will be running my "beer can", dubbed by my father, at the local drag strip tomorrow. Thompson Raceway Park. Theres a first time for everything and this will be a first for me. Although I grew up at the tracks and around the burning rubber and the smell of alcohol top fuel dragsters. My dad used to race way back in the 80's. I was always around funny cars and dragsters and well thats why I love cars so much. Plus I think thats why im slightly def in my right ear. LOL

nice list the mods and your times..def in for the pix

Sometimes I wish I still lived in Ohio, with the whole no-emissions deal.

Fuck PA.

What you mean no emmisions? It was certain counties that were exempt from the no smog check. Or eCheck they call it. I went through hell after buying this car just to get it tested. It passed 3 times before it got the car and they wouldnt let me test it but I got around it because I talked to someone that is head of the smog crap and he cave me the old waiver # and told me to give it to the people at the license place and it worked. Pretty strict. Soon we will all be like California.

Are you serious? When did that shit start?

3 of my friends there currently drive POS's without exhaust from either the downpipe, or halfway back, and they don't have any sort of inspection or emissions to go through.

Some counties in Ohio have e-check and others don't. My family lives in N/E Ohio where we have it. To get around it I registered my car to my address at school in Dayton where they don't have e-check.

Exactly what he said.^^^^^^
Thats what alot of people would do. When I moved to Lake county I was pumped about no eCheck but come to find out that they changed that a couple of years before I moved and I didnt know about it. I will be putting a cat back in the system come eCheck time, 2009, then put a test pipe in place of it after.

Im bummed

Sorry guys n gals. :( I got nothing too share with ya'll today. Been dealing with rain today till I called them when the rain began to break and they were open but I drove all the way there with sunglasses on and they were closed. As I got back on the freeway to come back home, the other side of the freeway was loaded with cars heading out there. So I will try next week and hope that the weather cooperates with me. I was pumped because it wouldve been my first time on the track. Although I am no stranger to the track.

You ever been to Norwalk or Dragway 42 by chance? 42 is pretty close to me so I go there a lot for "Street Wars" and the like, but Norwalk is kind of a hike for me.

Not yet I havent. I was thinking about going to dragway 42 though. Norwalk is kind of a hike for me aswell. Thompson is one of those backwoods kinda places. Its cheap to go to and its pretty fun aswell. They have the starboyz stuntfest there every year. As a matter of fact it was just this last weekend.
