A Scammer among us...

Hey all,

About a month ago I paid for an A/C compressor to EG Mike through PayPal. The payment has since cleared my account since and still, no compressor. He shows no activity on the site since 6/3. I just wanted to take the time and warn everyone of this potential scammer, as he never made an attempt to contact me about any impending problems with shipping or anything like that. The payment cleared my account on 6/2, so you guys can be the judge.

I really do not want to see anyone else get scammed by this guy.

he lives in Costa Mesa, CA .. so technically he ripped you off over state lines and thats a felony..
heres his IP address (24.126.30.14) if you wanna take matters even deeper.. report it to the authorities.. not really sure if they'll do anything over something so small..

i hate fucking thieves and wish they all got what was coming to them..

Thanks for that post, Clint. It's just sad what people will rip you off for nowadays. I doubt that they would do anything over something so small, but I will ask my friends in the Orlando Police department to see if it would be worth it filing some sort of claim. It's just sad man, really freakin' sad.+

I wonder if anyone actually got their parts from him or if they just got scammed then?

if you have a buddy in law enforcement you already have your foot in the door and he should be able to get something started.. it shouldnt matter what the dollar amount is.. be sure to file a paypal claim so you have record he never sent you the A/C compressor..

The pizza shop I hang out at on Saturday nights is their hang out place. Heck, the owners brother is a part time police officer as well. I've gotten well acquainted with a few of them. I'm thinking that I should file the claim first and then talk to them. Thoughts on that?

I would file the claim with PayPal then the police, tell the police that youve filed the complaint with PayPal and see what they can do from there. You need to file the PayPal claim ASAP though.

I'm going to do it as soon as I get home in the morning. I'm checking out PayPal right now while I'm at work and see if I can't figure it out while I'm here.

Thanks guys. I just opened up a dispute with PayPal. Now I have to wait twenty days, as they state that this is the time where the "seller" and I have time to settle things among us, unless one of us escalates it to a claim. Whenever I get home I'll talk with my girl, as she sells stuff on eBay and knows all about filing claims on non-paying customers. I'm thinking it will be upgraded to a claim then.

After all of this is said and done and I hopefully get my money back, I'll be asking you guys if anyone has an A/C compressor for a D.

bwahaha..good luck though..escalate it to a claim asap...they will review the case and 9 times out of 10 give you your money back..i just went through this with someone on ebay
