ok so i looked around in the ref section and all that did a lil yahoo search and im not happy with what im seeing so now im going to ask spesifically(sp?)

i have a 93 hatch with a lsvtec that needs a new clutch/tranny
story is i bought the car cheap had a funny clutch and then it had funny flywheel noises and then it doesnt start/drive. it just stalled and jerked to a stop. so i was thinking my cluch wasnt engaging/didengaging slipping/burning or something 5th gear would pop out while on the hiway. and grinds when going back in.
long story short i have a s1 cable tranny and need to know what i need to make this work. i have just the tranny no axles no clutch no flywheel but i do have it all for the hydro tranny that is on the car now.

cliff notes: have to use an s1 tranny in a hydro car and need info on parts to make it work

edit: if anyone is interested in buying said tranny i have a b16 to go with it (see sig)

well thanks for the only one to help but i knew that much im more interested in the parts internally to make it work ie like what clutch ls or s1? what is the dif between 90-91 and 92-93? is the 92-93 hydro? can i use my same flywheel(if still good) are all b series axles the same? need help fast. i cant keep bummin rides and taking taxis

It doesn't really matter. Just use the clutch and fly that go with the transmission...

What I mean is that clutches are interchangeable between B-series transmissions. Go look up some after-market clutches on E-Bay, the same clutch will work for a 99-00 Civic Si, a Del Sol VTEC, a GS-R, etc. If in doubt, just get a clutch that's listed to work with the specific transmission you're using, but they're pretty interchangeable (within the B-series of course, D/F/H-series clutches obviously won't work). You don't need to worry about the engine versus the transmission, you just need a B-series clutch.

[Cartman] You're breaking my balls here man, you're breaking my balls...[/Cartman]

so to :deadhorse: real quick- the only dif is how the cluch is engaged/disengaged via a cable or hydro? not the inner workings
