A local owns one. and he believes he's the hot shit with it. Now i will give him that it picks up and goes. but just because its a turbocharged he's got that ego he's the hottest shit around and wont back off with the shit talk upon my honda.

what do you guys think? over priced crap? or eh. better off for them to stick with road course races with their mini's (not to mention. he went to go race a S2k at the track just friday night. I havent got the news back on who's whooping who either)

Should be noted, that link really points to http:// www .msplinks.com/MDFodHRwOi8vd3d3Lm1pbml1c2EuY29t

15.1 is not bad, but a lot of Hondas could run that and better...without a turbo.

Now what would be cool; get a used MINI and do a BMW M3 engine/drivetrain swap. :D

my R53 (02-06) Mini was quicker than 90% of the swapped Hondas around here and it was awesome at autox...that gen had a supercharged 1.6 w/a 6 speed

but, it was a PITA to fix and had alot of "common" problems so I got rid of it

I'm not a fan of the new "bigger" body

Interesting Auto X course, that would be weird with the grass, and the cracks everywhere.

cracks weren't that bad and they cleared the grass between the cones on the course

fcscc did a good job with that lot last year

Does it really matter what car it is? Can you beat him? If you can't, then just shut the fuck up until you are able to. If you can, then go hit his ass up and blow his doors off :D Do your talking on the track and behind the wheel, not on a forum :D ;)

i know i cant beat him right now. i even told him that. im just bs'ing a thread.

TTIW. The new Cooper S with the twinscroll turbo and direct injection is awesome. It's not a fast car, but it's not meant to be a fast car. It's meant to be fun to drive, and it really excels at doing just that. I've really thought about getting one, but I really want 4 doors, and the Clubman is ugly.

mazdaspeed 3??

RWD 'V8'........when was the last time you bought gas?????? Solstice GXP, s2000, ETC> RWD 4 cylinders FTW because gas is only going to get higher. But then again, all these cars are small . If you are hell-bent on a bigger car with a V8, used GTO's are a bargain right now.

I go through 1 1/2-2 tanks of gas a month. I like the GTO, the LS2 is a GREAT motor. 2 people I work with have them, They see an average of about 24mpg mixed driving between the two of them. Hell, that's what I get in my '04 Sentra SER. But 4 doors are important to me. I'm frequently the DD, or I have family in my car, or i take my nieces out and they have carseats. The LSX motors a extremely fuel efficient given their output. Couple that with the tall 5th and 6th gears in their manuals and it's not bad at all. Cruising all day long at 70mph, a guy I go to church with sees 33-34mpg in his C6. Supposedly the next model year G8 will be getting the 6spd from the C6, mated to their motor that has the 4 cylinder shutdown(whatever GM calls it) I believe I can attain comparable if not better mpg than I currently do.
