ok i have a dx harness and im doin the mpfi coversion for my b16...i have the injector harness which has the four yellow/black wires i can solder to. i know to connect the 2 same color wires together from the dx injector plugs but that makes only 5 wires...the dead end plug for obd1 injectors has 7 wires on it..wheres the other 2 wires?

there's a sensor that plugs in between the injectors. I cant think of the name of it off hand, but think that runs along with the injectors

If I am not mistaken you have to have the injector resistor box on the obd1 conversion unless your car was originally mpfi. Are you doing the mpfi swap as well with this car?

..its a 90 dx hatch..swappin in a b16 so its runnin obd1..no resistor box needed just a dead end plug. ..i did the conversion before from dx to si but i stayed obd0...im just wandering if i pluggin the 5 wires to that dead end plug will be ok instead of having 7 into it

When I had to cut up a obd1 engine harness out of a eg I found that dead end plug it had a cap on the end of it and it looked like they all connected together using the cap that you can take off. I did not see where the other end of the wires went to I just knew that 4 were for the injectors and 1 was to the main relay under the dash. I am not sure about the others but you might have to find a detailed wiring diagram out of the car that you took that motor from.

yea i gotta find out what the hell the other 2 yellow/black wires go to..... my 90 si is converted obd1 and it only has 5 wires in the plug and works fine.. im thinkin the other 2 arent needed..hopefully

The way it looked like it was a test harness so a person will not have to go and disconnect the wires from the sensors and use it to check the resistance on the wires and plugs. When I hacked up that harness with that plug the other two wires led to some plugs that I had no use for.

yo homie. all the yellow/black wires are power wires for the injectors. then each colored wire is for each injector's signal wire. the yellow/black wires are powered via the main relay, and should all be connected together at a junction of 5 wires (1 lead, 1 to each inj).

ok.. i wired everything together last nite...all the colored injector wires are connected as they should. the 2 yellow/black wires from the dx injectors (relay) are soldered together to make 1. soo that makes 5 wires into a dead end plug, sound righ?

is yours like that?

lol thanks. bordom set in, and for some reason i went with mspaint instead of photoshop.

ya it also (in my car) powers the Evap Canister Purge Control solinoid, and the primary o2 sensor. i would post up the honda diagram, but i'm looking at the back of my haynes manual.

good luck man! hopefully your nearing completion! i am!
