is it too hard to swap an ls motor from a 91-93 teggy into an eg civic?

92-95 EG & Del Sol with a 94-2000 Integra LS B18B Engine.

Transmission: These Engines come with Hydraulic clutch transmissions including Japanese or American market Y21, Y80, S80, AND S4C. Japanese or American market S1, J1, A1, Y1 or YS1 cable clutch transmission with Hasport cable conversion kit part # M92-CC can be used.

Mounts: A combination of stock and integra mounts can be used if a hydraulic B- series tranny is used. on some 96 and up engines you may need to change the bracket under the timing belt and on the rear of the engine for ones of the appropriate year.

ECU: p75 from a 94-95 Integra

Electrical Differences: CX and VX need to convert to 4 wire o2 sensor. All models modify stock harness to fit.

Axles: 90-93 integra axles, 94-up integra axles, 94-97 Del Sol Vtec axles, or 99-00 Civic Si Axles. Note the intermediate shaft seal in the left side of transmission is different for 90-93 Integra Axles. Depending on Axle transmission Combo, It may have to be changed. Hasport Part#: EGBAXCMP

Shift Linkage: 94-up Integra linkage for Civics. 94-97 Del Sol Vtec linkage for Del Sol

Upper Radiator Hose: 94-Up Integra LS

Lower Radiator Hose: 94 Del Sol Vtec

Throttle Cable: 94 Integra LS

Clutch Hydraulics: Stock

Air Conditioning: 94-95 Del Sol Vtec A/C bracket

Special instructions: Using OBD II Ecu requires involved wiring modifications. Generally if the ECU you choose does not use the same plugs as the stock ECU, an Adapter harness will cut down on alot of potential problems

If the motor comes from a 92 or 93 Integra, then the swap will be exactly the same as the one outlined above. If it comes from a 90 or 91 Integra, then an OBD conversion will need to take place...

what's the best place to find a good LS? I too am thinking about going this route and turning it into a frankinstien later.

thanks, does the 92-93 have hydro or cable? i think it's cable. would a b16 or gsr tranny be good to put on a ls?

90-93 Integras use a cable setup. A GS-R or B16 transmission will bolt right up and help with acceleration but you might also see a slight decrease in gas mileage...

not to sound like a tool, but gas money really isnt that big of a deal. i make decent money for being 17. but a b16a2 si tranny would work correct?

another thing. the b16a pistons will work in this motor right? and which are ones are compatable. the ones from the ek si motor, or from the jdm sir b16a? sorry for all the ?'s i would search but for some reason it never works properly.

You want the JDM pistons, and I didn't mean to sound like a dick with the comment about the mileage, I was just letting you know. If you're fine with it then yeah, go for it...

yeah that's what i've read. and it's cool. i'm going to put those pistons and a crower valve train, and cam gears. i'm not gunna need to tune it off the bat am i?

I'd probably take it somewhere and get a tune if you're going to be swapping out the pistons and messing with the cam timing...

Deff go with the b16 trans. I had an LS in my 4 door civic with a y21 trans I had a blast with it driving around town. Gas mileage wasnt bad either i was still getting 300+ in a tank. As for tuning you should look up phearable.net you can buy an already chipped ecu from them with a basemap and then just go from there  I have heard alot of good things about em.

sounds like a decent plan , sorry to be short the other day with the long swap post , but an ls swap is one of the easiest swaps . are you changing cams or just pistons and valve train ?
some after market valve train parts are great with a cam swap , but on stock cams it can be a waste of money . remember you can't rev the shit outa an Ls or an Lsvtec , any way good luck with the swap , just keep your expectaions real and in your budget
