After 10 minutes of moderate driving, i shifted into third gear (from neutral)and heard a grinding noise and my revs kept going up with virtually no power to the wheels.. After pulling over i gave it another try, but was just barely was able to accelerate. I had to stop, and couldn't move the car at all after that.

I've been reading so many threads and have it narrowed down to Axle, differential, or clutch, i think.

Thanks for any input :)

Edit: car is a 93 integra stock

Not necessarily. I broke the everloving shit out of my axle and it looked perfectly fine. When I took the boot off, I poured out a blended mixture of cage and bearings. Looked like steel salsa.

yea that is true..i was refering to the actual rod..not the bearings and shit..good save though

In a way i wouldn't mind if it was the transmission.. I've heard stock integra tranny's aren't the best, and have been considering buying a better transmission anyway.

Gonna to take it apart today, ill let everybody know what it ended up being. Thanks guys!

haha, yea i didn't realize that.

Good thing it was the axle! My friend suggested ordering 'Raxles', does anyone know about their axles?

if your car is stock there is no reason to buy aftermarket axles

Buy auto zone axles. guaranteed for life, so when you break 'em, it doesn't cost you anything. Like $70 for a life time of axles.
