anyone here ever bought a ebay turbo kit? what do you guys think of buying one? is it worth it?

Aside from them being junk, having their turbos be crap and manifolds crack...well, that's really it. :D

Dude, you're all over the place with plans for your car. First you were talking about a B-series swap, then an H-series swap, then a K-series swap, with all kinds of other questions about parts for various engines scattered in between. Think about it and make a definitive decision on the route you want to take before you worry about purchasing any turbo parts.

And yes, the E-Bay kits are junk. You'd be better off taking your time and looking for deals on quality parts then buying some cheap shit off of E-Bay...

ebay wouls be better than ssautochrome god that shit is the worst , i have seen junk yard built kits the fit better and worked better

A lot of E-Bay kits are the SS AutoChrome shit...

You may not remember it, but you certainly did post it. You also posted a bunch of stuff about installing a stage 2 cam into your current motor, which isn't really what you'd want if you plan on going turbo...

*sniffs air* Do you smell that? That's the smell of BURNT bacon. :D

To the OP, this is slightly off subject, but since Brutal did post that, did you ever finish your K-Swap?

A "stage two" type cam is meant for an N/A build, not for forced induction. The specs on an N/A cam aren't really ideal for a turbo application. They have special cams which are specific to boost. You'd want one of those instead.

This is the problem with not planning out your engine build beforehand, and just throwing shit on as you go. Eventually you'll come to a point where you realize a part that you've previously put on the car isn't really ideal for the direction you're wanting to go...

Such as, if I may suggest, a Skunk2 Stage one turbo cam. If you're building anything else but a D, they do offer the Skunk2 Stage 2 turbo cams which is what I am personally going for in my build.

o yea the guys account that im using has a 96 hatch he was going to put a k20 or h22 in it but decided to do y8. i have a 93 ex. my account wont work anymore for some reason so i use his.

thats the one i bought

Is it the one specifically for turbo, or just the regular stage 2 cam?

i posted some shit about doing a d series build and an ls/vtec. but after finding out they're not too good of frist swaps. setteled for an ls swap. and the first we more informative. but dude i mean assuming this is ur first swap, and that you have a civvy or integra. and h and definatley k-swap are NOT good first swaps, at all. get realistic yo.
