ambitious...but rubbish
my buddy has my old 88 with a B18B and a super ghetto hacked MPFI job that used to run before the timing belt broke, the new timing belt is in and the engine has compression but wont run now.

he just got married and will be in jail for a couple months so me and his brother think it would be real cool to get the car running for him while he's sitting, kind of a nice suprise for when he gets out.

I have a 90 CRX Si engine harness and am wondering how hard it would be to change the harness plugs on the fender to mate up with the Si harness so it's not a ghetto job any more, I know there's a couple more wires in the Si harness and figure I can de-pin a few wires from a junkyard car to make up the difference, has anybody tried this before, I know the proper method is to modify the DPFI harness and use that but his is trashed and all the wires are red, it gives you a headache just looking at it.

I have to re-attatch all the ECU plug wires anyway because they were cut, so since I have to do it the hard way I will need to use this method.

I dont think there is a way to use just the Si harness you would have to change the harness that goes from inside the car to the engine compartment. To save you a headache go to the junk yard and pick up another dx harness you will also need an injector resistor box. I have done two of these swaps and its what i would do. Here is the link to where i got my info
MPFI Swap

Im sure if you search on this forum you will find write ups on this as well

It wont work, the Si is a diffrent shaped plug than the DXs/HFs. Just re-wire in a better fashion.

shit, I was afraid it would be more headache than it's worth, when I bought it I didn't have time to look and see the 20 or so cut wires from the ECU (all red too), I suppose if I get the DX harness all the colors will line up anyway.
