I'll keep you guys updated as i get it finished. This has got to be the 10th or so i have done and none of them were easy. ALL of them had to be completely gutted. Remodel sux:(

ahh i cant. We are renting this place from a friend. I got tired of paying 575 for a 2/1 in shitty condition. My friend let me rent this place form him for 350 a month. cant beat that in Tally. Its a 3/2 with new carpet, countertops, cabinets, i put laminant flooring in the kitchen and put in a corner cabinet with matching counter top to make some space. I already redid the master bath before we moved in with a stand up tile shower.

This all so we can save some money a month and help the value go up a little when we move out. Hell its already got a deck! remember those pics?

when Nicole gradutes grad school and finally decide where we are going to move then we will buy a house.

and yess there will be bubble bath Mrs Taco pics once done.

thanks man. I called it quits when the wife came home. We went and got some chinese and i just felt lazy.

I was able to frame up for the tub and the tubing all cleared. I just have to get the existing pipes to fit in the wall. Before, they built the wall out a little but i cant do that since the tub is alot bigger. Tomorrow i will be capping off the lines and running new ones along with the breather pipe as well. The i will start the insulation and drywall.

heres some updates. EVERYTHING was a challenge i ended up tearing the ceiling out too. Nothing was squared up when it was built but my dad and i made the best of it.

the panelings are just mocked up wth tape for now

Looks good thus far. Cant wait for mrs taco to show off the tub for us.

Oh, and be warned, those shelves that are built into the back are identical to mine.. They don't hold anything reliably and wait for just the right moment to smash your foot with a full bottle of shampoo.

i figured so. It was the cheapest alternative to tile. We already have tile on the other bath so we wanted to keep this one simple. We have spent about 400 on the materials. My friend already gave me a free months rent ( $350 ) but i think i'm going to ask for another month as well. The only thing i'm going to need is more 1x4 for the trim.

so far what i have done is saved him alot of money on labor. Remodeling is the worst when it comes to spending. When i do remodels i always charge by the hour. This bathroom proves my point as to why. I thought i was going to be done on a weekened and now has taken me almost a week. Just because EVERYTHING was done either wrong or rotted.

ohh and this is Nicole remodleing our other bath.....

she repainted walls and trim. She also bought new stuff for the tooth brushes, shower curtain to match and storage shelves behind the toilet

The restoration looks good so far though. You're on homemodders.com, right?

btw... whats she going to school for? (if you told us, I forgot)

No im not on homemodders.com. I dont think i'm skilled enough to post my remodeling attempts on an actual remoldeling site.

NIcole's going top be a vet one day. She's already graduated from FSU with a BS in Biological sciences. She's going back to get her masters in public health.
