I'm sick of oil dripping down my block when I do an oil change. So I'm lookin to relocate the filter.

2000 Civic
1995 B16

Anybody have experiance with just an oil filter relocation and no cooler? I've heard with an oil cooler you want to uprate the oil pump. Wanting to make sure that just a filter relocation won't hurt.

I'm looking at a Greddy kit. Or building my own with Earl's parts, which would be cheaper, but not have those nice taps for sensors like the Greddy parts have. Opinions on either?

And then, what filter should I use?? I'm usually OEM FTW when it comes to that....and all the relocation parts require a 3/4-16 ID, 3.8" OD filter. (fram PH8A or equivilant). Recomend a good filter please? I think Mobile1 is generally said to be best tho, just checkin.
 
Check out the Perma-Cool kits. I run a dual filter remote mount on my '69 Ford. Great quality parts, and the kit literally has everything you need, I didnt have to go buy anything seperate to put the kit in. They make both single and dual filter, and if I recall correctly they have 2 different styles of each. Also, one of their styles has a port on the filter mount for a sensor like you were saying about the Greddy kit.
 
Summit racing makes one for my Integra. You have to use a different filter but it moves it to the firewall for easy oil changes and such. Only time you have to go under the car is to drain the oil and replace the plug. No fumbling under there with the oil filter that you put on too tight last time.

They also make it easier to integrate an oil cooler into your system.

If you're really wanting some extra flow, you could step up to an s2000 filter.
