Also saw wanted. So unbelievable I almost asked for my money back but semi-entertaining I guess....

Wanted was so unrealistic i felt like i was watching starwars. why would there be a death code in fabric??
kinda silly i think

I wanna see Hancock eventually. I've read some reviews in the local paper and they ripped Hancock to shreds. Saying that the story line shifts directions every 15 minutes and that will smith is too good an actor to, and I quote, 'take on a role that was clearly written for the bi-polar imagination' lol lol

lol
wow thats a bad review.
sounds like our kind of movie.
when will they write a movie for us schizo's?
We already had ...oh
Im not schizo.
k?

good ? bad ?

I'd lean more towards bad. The plot line that you see advertised in all the previews (he's a super hero with a bad attitude that gets drunk and pisses everybody off) gets resolved within the first hour of the film, and from that point on it's pretty much a rehash of action scenes from every superhero movie released within the past few years and a dumb and confusing origin story for Will Smith's character.

Honestly I'd say wait and rent it, but that's just my opinion...

no, but i deffiantly want to
its not the kind of movie i like, but i like will smith

What is the kind of movie you like?

Could you guys not tell from the previews that Wanted was going to be a bunch of over-the-top action and stunts? That's what I expected from it going in, not some realistic crime thriller movie. If you take it in that context, then it delivers pretty well, in my opinion. It's actually based on a graphic novel, so I guess it could be considered a "comic book movie" as well...

Mmmmmk?

Anyway, forget Hancock, and Wanted, and anything else you've seen thus far. The true blockbuster event of this summer is only eight days away...

I predict that The Dark Knight will explode at the box office because the whole Heath Ledger thing. Plus, Batman Begins was one of the better batman flicks so that doesn't hurt Christian Bale for his second take as Bruce Wayne.

All the major critics have already seen TDK and posted their reviews, and there hasn't been a single bad review yet. Most reviews are placing it in the 8-10 out of 10 range. A shit-load of shows are already sold out, and the movie doesn't even start until next Friday.

And yeah, we all knew that this movie was gonna blow up because everyone will want to see Ledger's final movie, but from what the critics are saying the hype on Ledger's performance is completely legit. Tons of people are saying Oscar, and not because he died, but because he's seriously that good. They're saying that Jack Nicholson's Joker ala 1989 will seem like just your creepy uncle next to Ledger's version.

Plus, we get to see Harvey Dent's transformation into Two-Face! Fuckin' sweet!

Oh, I can't fuckin' wait!!!!!

i liked hancock. not enough development on the villain "Red" IMO, but still enjoyable. definitley wasnt how i thought it was going to be.

im definitely seeing TDK.

I thought hancock was great ...

and yeah, wanted is good if you loosen up and aren't expecting the most realistic thing.

i wanna see STEP BROTHERS. that shit looks hilarious
I can't wait. Me and my best friend(who lives with me and the family) think it will pretty much be about us. And yes, we have bunk beds, haha.

Hancock was pretty good. First half was hilarious, second half was action. I would have preferred all comedy, but it still was good. My favorite line:
Lady-"Your breath smells like liquor!"
Hancock-"Cuz I've been drinking, bitch."

I can't wait to see it. Frankly, Ledger getting himself into character is probably what killed him. He didn't sleep for days on end and stuff like that to make himself more like the Joker. By the end of filming I wouldn't doubt if he was technically insane. It's just too bad, I've always really liked his movies.

I like it when the fat dude says "that woman should sue you!" and he responds with "yeah? well you should sue McDonald's cuz they fucked you up!"

:lmao:

I can't wait for step brothers and dark knight.

Frank Miller directed Dark Night.

What? No he didn't. It's directed by Chris Nolan, the same guy that did Batman Begins. Parts of it are loosely based on Miller's Year One comic book (same with Batman Begins), but he's not the director or the writer for The Dark Knight...
