weird problem someone help

ok so i swapped everything in. i had a d16y7 in my 97 hatch. i swapped to an 2000 d16y8.

well in doing so i had problems with it starting. so i noticed the thermostat housing ground wasnt attached. so i did that and the car starts.


well the problem now is that the car idles high and the CEL stays on.

now i didnt wire the knock sensor or the vtec, but i doubt thats the problem here.


i can give it hardly any pressure on the gas pedal and itll climb, but wont go pass about 2000 rpms. if i give it more than a slight touch it dies. oh and after it climbs to around 1000-2000rpms with me giving it gas, if i let off the pedal the car will die.

what could this be from?

also i dont know what hoses hook into the intake manifold. there are 2 nipples on the intake manifold, one goes to the pcv valve, and below that there is another...where do i connect to/from?

I will tell you why your car doesnt run right, its because someone who doesnt know what they are doing is turning wrenches under the hood. well on his post about it not starting i was kind enuff to mention the waterneck gound he ignored my advice and then three post later ask if this ground not being hooked up could be the problem he is a moron and deserves no help from anyone

by the way take your car to the scrap yard and crush it its probaly rice any ways and know one would want it and you dont deserve to even have a tricyle get a life buy some shoes and enjoy walking as thats all you should be doing

i dont think anyone on this site favors rice... and someone who doest know how to fix their own car doesnt deserve it.. or at least doesnt take advice from ppl who know what they're doing. so you should get some shoes because the way you're going with your civvy it looks like walking will be the only thing you can do.
