Hey wassup everyone..
I have a question
I know the B20 will fit in the car (1989 CRX)
My question is will the tranny (Automatic) bolt up to the frame with out any custom work done to the frame (welding)

My problem.
I have a JDM D15B (auto) but they want to charge me $1,600 total.. $800 for custom mount/welding and $800 for the install of the tranny(Z6)

I figured I just get a B16 SIR that will drop right in but was also told the B20 will also drop in. And I only want to swap the motor since its a better motor and will cost me the same to keep in the D15B.So why not get a better motor.

I dont want to convert it since this is my toy and DD.
and I dont want to run into the same problem of having to pay extra to just drop in a motor.

Thanks for the info in advance.

yeah its auto now. Custom mounts since the motor is 1993 and the frame of the car is 89?.. Only thing I could come up with.

The mech said if the swap was a manual the tranny will bolt up.

who ever is telling you this stuff stop listening to them

you cant move the mounts from your current d series to the new one ?, i don't do auto swaps but normally any d series engine and trans will drop in with factory mounts

waz up dude monts there the same u have to keep on mind the Bseries is different them Dseries u can mount to it but the housing is a little different try the starter and u would see latez good luck

Ok so im ready to get my motor (B20 Auto)

Will this motor bolt up in my engine bay with no welding or custom mounts besides the hasport mounts that will come with it??

I was told I had to bang out the frame a little to make space for the alternator which im fine with just dont want to pay to make cuz custom mounts..

Or should I get a B16 Sir which i heard will drop right in also. but not sure about the auto version.

Thanks for the info..
