I'm not exactly sure what I'm asking either!
When would I find the chassis code valuable? For ordering parts? For checking engine swap possibilities?
If someone says "it's an EG8", that tells me....what?
Still clear as mud?
its all hard to take in at once like for example the 1992 body style civic as we know it started with that body style in japan in 1991 same goes for all there cars there all a year behind us
Not really- they just call their cars' model years by the year they were made, not the next year like we do. 1992 model year cars started selling in 1991 in the US- they're just called 92s. In Japan they would still be 91s.
Yeah, in europe it's the same way. By that logic, my car is a 99. The american registration says 2000 though...
For example, the headlights on a 93 civic sedan (EG8) wont fit on a 2 door civic of the same year (EJ2). If i'm wrong someone will correct me I'm sure.
