As several of you know, I'm moving out of Reno back to CT...

The last few days I have not done ANYTHING to progress towards completion. In fact, I have only packed 1 box so far...And I pick up the truck on Thursday and leave on Friday.

I hate packing. I get to a point where I just throw everything into a box and call it quits. Then it takes me weeks to go through the stuff, and during the meantime, I purchase more stuff to replace the stuff that I don't know which box it's in.

In addition, I'll have to go 800 miles out of my way to drop one of my roommates off in NC to live with his parents. So I have been trying to come up with a route that works without adding more miles. If anyone can point me in a right direction, that would be great. I can get from NC to CT, but NV to NC is a different story...
 
garbage bags FTW. i only boxed fragile shit. all my clothes and everything else i just through in hefty flex sacks :)
 
trust me, it works great.

all your clothes and crap is so easy to pack and throw in a garbage bag.... and you can carry like 5 at a time instead of 3 paper ream boxes before you can't see any more.
 
Clothes will go in bags...Electronics will be in the car, which will be towed by the car carrier, and everything else will be in boxes...

I had every intention to neatly label the boxes and put kitchen items in one box, toiletries in another, etc etc. Needless to say that since I have about a day and a half to pack everything, that won't happen...
 
I can vouch for the garbage bags... and not just for clothes and shit too.

Get decent bags with draw strings and you're all set.
 
Absolutely...Dog will ride with me in the truck...

That dog is like my son...I love him like a fat kid loves cake--and I know my cake!
 
You can just throw everything in the back of the truck. If you hire "professional" movers, its the same.

No boxes no nothin. Then we'll just grab a shovel and push it all out :)
 
Back down a hill in reverse and then lock up the breaks...Unloaded on your front lawn in 10.7 seconds...

Don't touch a fucking thing. It'll either shock the everloving shit out of you or send you a great distance through time.

My place has a backyard full of problems. I have a dump run that's been ready to go since Turbo / EP3 left 3 weeks ago. Haven't gotten around to it.
