i wonder how much extra power the leaf blower was making with the plume of nitrous right by its intake also

if they would have actually hooked it up with a coupling it probaly would have made more power. my buddy was fucking around one day and made 36hp on a ls with a leaf blower hooked up with couplings ans all

Its not a hard concept to understand, a leaf blower jammed in the intake boot works just the same as a turbo does.

I believe the turbo puts out a slight bit more air flow. I could never picture a leaf blower popping my charge pipes off, yet my turbo can do it if the clamps are not sitting just right.

I'd like to see another dyno.

stock dyno run.
then a run with a stock car, but with the intake removed.
removing the stock airbox and all the pluming had to of freed up a good bit of power before the blower came along.

what is an air box's purpous other than to restrict air flow? why cant production cars come with a variant of a short-ram or a CAI insted of restrictive boxes?

Muffler.... no air box = very loud. That's why connected to the air box is tubing running to many different little boxes within. some cars have the duct work run from the side of the motor down the fender and out the bottom of the car near the front air damn. or in one of my cars cases the air box tubing went all the way down to the bottom of the engine bay and then back up, it was open up top near where it started. all in all, maybe 5 feet worth of tubing.

Im saying that a turbo and a leaf blower work in the same way, all the leaf blower is doing is forcing air into the intake. There is a video on Youtube of some guy doing highway puls with and with out a leaf blower. Might be StreetFire, either or I dont feel like loking.
