Hey guy's well i think that i might have found a new project, Guy here in town has a nice wagon for sale and i think im going to pick it up, Im thinking im going to but the b18 in the wagon, But i want to keep the awd, So bisimoto has a adapter plate that im going to get, Tell me what you think.
Later. I will get pics of car up tomorrow.

The adapter plates that Bisi makes are to mate an F series engine or H series engine to a D series or B Series tranny. The Bisi website says the B series to D series plates aren't available yet :shrug2:

However, the 4wd system in those civics aren't really a true 4wd system. If/when the front wheels are slipping, it only sends 10% of the power to the rear wheels to assist a little bit, not to mention i've heard of the rear diff's gernading from the power of a DOHC ZC. I can only imagine what a B18 will do to that diff lol.

Oh yeah, Well fuck that idea, LOL. Thanks for the info, Well is swapping the b18 into the wagon the same process as putting in a crx or sedan.
I know that i probably have to take out all the good shit like the diff and drive lines but thats cool.

So what do you think, Should i go with a wagon or a running sedan, I can get the wagon with some RUST, for 300 Non running(timing belt snapped), Or i can get 130xxx miles ef sedan Good good condition, new gun metal paint, Good interior, But auto.
Let me know just need some opinions.

I had an 89 sedan and look at my sig, i'm building another one lol. But honestly, I can't find a wagon in decent condition or else I would be building a wagon.

Converting cable tranny cars from auto to manual isn't hard at all so don't worry too much about the sedan being auto, i can help you step by step with that if you want :D

I say go for the wagon though. Why do an auto to manual conversion if you have the option of not needing to. And yes, putting a b series motor in the wagons is the same process as the other ef's/ed's.

Ok, Well i just went and looked at the wagon, Rust on fender wells BAD, and on hatch.
Not bad for 300, I just can't stand rust, And the sedan is just perfect the price is just shitty as fuck, they want 1600 but i think i will talk them down.

1600 for a freshly painted ef 4 door auto seems high to me , i am usally very leary for freshly painted car too.

do the wagon just to be different, there are all wheel drive b powered wagons out there it can be done
to be different?! It's a fucking Honda... There is no Honda you can buy and/or build that would ever be different. Every Honda enthusiast out there wants to be different just like the other BILLION Honda enthusiast out there lol... That's probably why 90% of us on here don't even own Hondas anymore lol.

If the rust is that bad, I say pass unless you know how to take care of the rust yourself. Body shops charge an arm and a leg to fix rust spots...

it could be different in his area , WHY SO GRUMPY ? so hondas are over done and copied to death so what , they are still a good bang for your buck option

There's Honda enthusiast in fucking Afghanastan lol... There's no place on god's green earth where a Honda is gonna be 'different' lol... Grumpy? lol... I think the lol's in my last post should indicate that i'm laughing, usually people don't laugh when grumpy ;)

Yes Hondas are played the fuck out but did I tell him not to get one? No I didn't so I don't know why your trying to make a case as to why hondas are good... Hell, i'm building another one but no matter what I do to mine will ever make it different. so stop suggesting people should do a certain thing or build a certain car to 'be different' when it comes to Hondas because that ship has sailed like the Mayflower...

Not making a case was stating something obvious, and to be quiet frank b powered wagons are not a dime a dozen. But it does seem they are all the rage since you would be building one your self if you could find a nice rust free one. It’s pretty sad you feel that you can’t build something fresh out of a Honda, maybe you lack vision .

So i think that this is trying to turn into a democracy, So i think that im going to go with the wagon, My buddy works at a shop, Im going to miss my teg soooooooo muchhhh when i start to pull it apart, Ohhhh i did find this clean clean clean eg hatch, i will post pics tomorrow.

Not a dime a dozen?! Lol go search honda-tech and hondacivicwagons.com and then tell me again b-powered wagons aren't a dime a dozen. I want to build one myself because as you can tell from my avatar, I got two kids so I need the room. Hence, why i'm building another sedan yet i'd prefer a wagon since it has that much more room and I also can't find a clean 5 speed 90-95 accord wagon which I planned on dropping an H22 in. Don't act like you know me or know the reasons why i'm wanting to build certain things. I build Hondas because I like them, not because I wanna be 'different'. I lack vision just as much as you lack the reality of a 'different' honda ;)

Well, why go with the wagon if that hatch is available? You seem really excited about that eg so jump on it

Yeah but whos to say it cant me modified?, ive seen people remove the suspension and 4WD from wagovans and converts civics with 500hp+. so it is possible to have it without gernading the diff.

People read into things too much... did he say he wanted to upgrade the stock diff? No, all he said was he wanted to keep the awd by using an adapter plate for tranny purposes. That would indicate more that the tranny and awd system would remian stock, right? Why would he use an adapter plate if he has the money to upgrade the diff?... You see where i'm going with this...

Alright guy's Lets just chill out, Come on now, Its just a wagon, and a stock diff, Not a war head and bin laden or whatever the fuck his name is. So yeah.

:sarcasm: WOW!!! :/sarcasm: and this some how changes the fact that some have gernaded the stock diff from just the power of a ZC?! People have had problems with Skunk2 and Crower Valve Trains but does that mean some people aren't pushing 500+ hp on those same valve trains? My point is that it does happen.

Epic Tuning 400HP D16Z6 powered Real Time 4WD EF hatch | Free YouTube Video Codes | Qxtf3_IHTfs

We converted the car to Real Time 4WD from a '89 Civic Wagovan. We used the transmission, axles, driveshaft, viscous coupling, rear differential and subframe. The clutch is a ACT 4 pad disc and Heavy Duty pressure plate. So far at 24psi the drivetrain is holding up great. We have a couple hundred miles and 40+ tire chirping launches without a problem. We will keep putting it through its paces and see what, if anything, breaks.

You see, they aren't even sure if it's gonna hold up. I'm not saying it won't hold up, i'm just saying that some haven't held up to even the power of a ZC and i'm sure epic tuning has heard/seen the same thing.
