ok so lets say I have an 85 CRX with an EW1 is there a V-TECH head that I could run on this? ofcourse I will also have to get an ecu and wiring harness from somewhere and convert the fuel system to high pressure but what would work and what would it come off of and what would I gain?

Thanks

Not possible because bolts dont line up or not possible because the pistons hit the valves or maybe oil / water passage problems come on now I need reasons

ill let somone else chime in and tell you why

EW1 have a different series engine. they are not your standard D-series, even though i believe the manuals call them a d but they share few to no interchangeable parts. Either swap in a B with hasport mounts, or some other engine.

"can i put a chevy head on my ford block?"

I have noticed that you are acting like you know everything but hiding behind other peoples explanations like you don't know the answers, this shows nothing but poor character. If you really know what you are trying to make people believe you know then you would have had some answers with more substance.

Z6CRX

Thanks for pointing out the whole "D" series thing for me I was confused about that for some time now.

I would like to know which if any engines share the same bell housing bolt pattern with the EW1

fyi: in the 60's and 70's there were some instances of blocks from one motor company and heads from others being mixed though heavily modified it has happened for different performance reasons just like the manual clutch automatic transmissions.

Blanco

Yes I misspelled thanks for pointing it out

LMFAO! He said he would wait for others to chime in cuz it was far too easy. Thats right, you made it so easy to make a joke at your expense that he passed the oppertunity so someone else could do it. If you dont wanna get treated like a dumbass, then dont spell like one. Another tip, watch who you get an attitude with. Incase you havent noticed hes a regular here, hes not goin away cuz you dont like him.

the 84-87 EW is unique and doesn't share the transmission with any other Honda - transmission to engine bolt pattern is different from anything else
