are there any good online diagrams or anything on how to replace front axles? Any step by step directions? I have to replace the axles sometime in the near future and it would be nice to have a diagram.

ok first you need to get a 32mm socket and big breaker bar...loosen the axle nuts..
then take the wheels off and on the hub assembly there will be an arm that goes to the upper control arm..theres a "cap" on it with 2 10mm bolts,,pull the bolts off then you will find castle nuts under the "caps"..pull the cotter pin out of the castle nut(it can be a very big bitch but keep trying) then i believe it a 17 mm that holds the assembly to the upper control arm balljoint after this you should get a balljoint seperator or a big hammer and hit the arm that is holding the hub up..the move the hub out of the way and the axles should pull right out...
but remember to drain the tranny fluid or it will be everywhere

What 10mm bolts do you take off to pull axles out?!

The only bolts and nuts I take off to change an axle are the castle nut that goes to the lower ball joint, the 32mm axle nut, and the a-arm bolt that goes from the lower part of the a-arm through the lower control arm. DONE.

you do it from the bottom,,i go from the top..pull the 10mm nuts on the top balljoint that have the little cap covering the castle but

but the axle shaft itself goes through the a-arm so how do you do it without unbolting the a-arm from the lower control arm?

Axle bolt, Castle nut on the lower ball joint, seperate ball joint, yank out your axle. Done.
You can't seperate the ball joint until you romove the bolt that goes through the a-arm and lower control arm. But the rest is correct :D

thanks to all hopefully ill have it done this weekend im tired of having all that damn clicking. and i also need to replace the rotors and brake pads
