So I haven't worn a watch most of my life. But recently I mentioned to my awesome gf that I liked the nixon watches.

Last Sunday I came home and found this on my bed.

PLAYER_ALLBLK.jpg

I dig it. She knew I'd love the "murdered out" look and its classy enough to rock for date nights and not to bling so I can wear it everyday. This picture is semi-decieving because the actual face is very shiny because of the thick glass overlay.

What kind of watch do you rock? Show em off.

i've had the Nixon "The Player" for about 5 yrs now... i never really wear it though.. i also have the Nixon "Rocker" .. which also i hardly ever wear.. not really a watch person

i wear watches all the time
cant leave the house without one on
got a few citizen eco drives that i alternate between for daily use - titanium black face, stainless blue face
got an old beat up titanium fossil that i wear when out camping or deep sea fishing - titanium chronograph , dont care if it gets broken or lost
got a fossil that i bought to replace the one that got destroyed in my bike accident - never worn
got a perpetual motion (self winding) Russian paratroopers watch that my uncle got for me from one of the guards at the Berlin wall when he was stationed in Germany - never wear that either

I use these watches on a daily basis. Which ever I feel like at the time...

I can't find a good .jpg file for my movado so here's the link:

MOVADO | LUXURY WATCHES & TIMEPIECES | FIERO MODEL : 605619

I also have a Rolex that I NEVER wear that I got from my grandfather. It's too nice, too expensive, and means too much to me to wear to any event. Maybe i'll wear it to my wedding or when my kids get married but that's it. I cried when he gave it to me because he said he was proud of me for being a father to my kids that my dad never was to me...

It's similar to the second one from the left... Kept in a fire-proof safe at my soon to be mother-in-law's house :D :D

Fossil watches for me. Decent watch, looks great, and if I smash the everloving fuck out of one (have smashed 3 thus far) I'm only out ~$100.

Currently, a fossil speedway. This one was $94 or something like that. This trooper has lasted about 3 years. My normal gig is a watch a year. not the watch's fault.. I just have the uncanny ability to smash em to pieces.

I feel you. I wear the Ecko one I posted more than the others and i've banged it against countless things. Never broke one(crosses fingers) but that's the main reason I don't wear the Rolex because with my luck it's gonna be the first watch that I actually end up breaking and I'd start crying if that happened :(

careful w/ the black Player.. the black scratches of pretty easily.. my buddy has one and it looks like ass now..

College graduation present/new job present from my girlfriend's family.

i use the clock on my cell phone...
It's the easiest way. I break things too easily. I do have a Fossil that is custom from when my HS won the state in wrestling, a Rolex that my grandfather bought in Tijuana and gave to me, and a Relic from when I wore one every day. I really only wear one when I'm dressing up to go somewhere. I still bring the phone though, all the watches have dead batteries, haha.

Just a space-holder until I can get home and take some pictures. But until then:

I rock a Seiko... not the most expensive watch but it was a present and it gets the job done.

I never really got the point of buying a watch with no numbers. I don't really like the fact that I have to GUESS what time it is. Is that pointing to 10? No... maybe 11?
