Soo last night i wrote a solid little storey of what has happened to my car the past week and when i went to post it everything went retared and i lost like 30 minutes of writing.


So long unheard story short. My car is running like shit.

a co-worker poured water over tyhe engine to wash off coolant that was covering it and i went to turn the car on like 10 minutes later. And it idoled fine but when i give it a decent amount of gas to get moving it boggs out a stalls unless i let off the pedal real quick. If i slowely increase the rpms (really slowely) till about 2-3 grand it runs great. but a couple hour later it had gotten worse and did it all of the time.

anyways i needed a new motor becuase my headgasket was going and it had over 400k km on it so i got a good deal on another d15b7 and swaped over everything onto it (altonator, tranny, clutch, fuel injectors - rail, throttle body, spark plugs, wires, dizzy, and wiring harness.


Now it all does the same thing, the engine shaked the car when its running around 2-3/4 rpm but not at idol. and the check engine light comes on when i press the gas after start up so i cant even jump the ecu.


any suggestions to my list of problems?
 
I don't think there is an autozone in Nova Scotia. but it never flashed the
CEL before the engine swap when it was doing the same thing.
 
Ok i've narrowed the shaking down to the motor mount i made. Witch is bassicaly two hockey pucks cut to fit tightly into the old mount (the drivers side Block- to- chassis i guess you could say) but it's the lower mount witch bolts onto the block with four bolts beside the exuast manifold.
 
your talking about the ac mount? I took that mount off my car and have not had a problem. thats not your problem. you need to pull the code off the ecu

is the cel flashing? that usually means misfire
 
IT doesn't flash it just comes on after like 2 or three seconds after the engine turns on. so when i turn the key to jump the ecu the cel wont come on. but as of right now nothing is happening. it's like it has a dead battery it was running like shit so i turned it off then tried to turn it on and nothing. i looked in the engine bay and the tranny ground and the possitive and negitave on the batter were all hot. i tryed fealing the harnes in multiple places to see if it was hot but didn't find anything. i took the positive off of the batter asap. the battery is not dead

your talking about the ac mount? I took that mount off my car and have not had a problem. thats not your problem. you need to pull the code off the ecu

I think that the mount is the reason for the shaking though.
 
The whole thing is fucked. i have no clue what is going on. i put a new wiring harness on the engine and still nothing is working at all, there is no power to anything. The 80A fuse in the the fusebow in the engine bay looks fine(as in the little piece of metal isnt blown) and whenever i conect the battery to the terminals the tranny ground and ground to of the batter to the chassis heats up.


I'm pissed. I'm 17 , i deliver pizza, my insurance is up this pay and i dont have a dime to my name.

i'd say im probibly going to sell it for whatever i can get and start my finacial life over again... back to riding bikes i guess.

i'm sorry for your troubles man. dont give up on your car though. i bought my car and found out it had a bent frame and needed alottt more than i thought. still never gave up. you'll have so much pride in it when you're finished.
 
girls quit. you need to find some honda guys around your neighborhood or city that have been messing with hondas for a long time and befriend them and they will help you. get some real motor mounts. all of them. and then get hook on phonics.

check your map sensor and your air meter on your intake. I know when its not plugged in or not working if you rev your car it will die past 2k 3k rpm just like your saying. it doesnt think air is going into your engine or it isnt getting air when you rev it? try looking over your intake and intake manifold make sure its plugged in right and re check it. Sorry for your troubles man im sure if we lived closer someone would help you out that could! befriend another honda man like was said! always love helping out other honda friends! hondas are brothers!
 
sounds like something shorted out from him pouring water on it or something? or it just randomly happened and your trying to relate it to him pouring water on it?
 
Ok the shaking was the moter mount but i trimmed it and it works perfect now.

Power to nothing was the problem of the power cable to the start chafed through the rubber housing and just grounded itslef against the tranny. but the problem of the car bogging out when i give it to much gass too quick is eating me. I can't satrted the car by just turning the key and the starter turning over the engine. I have to bump start it most of the time and it always runs off on a bump start. which makes no sence to me at all becuase wouldn't that just be doing the same job of the starter but worse?

I replaced the ecu and that didn't make any differance.
i thought it was the fuel pump but fuck once the car is started and moving it drives like a perfectly normal car provided i don't wanna get into any rice battles and actually try to accelerate.

She idols perfect and can idol all day long.

it havs to be something really stupid i'm sure becuase the car really runs fine i just cant accelerate to quick.
