I had posted this before but for some reason its not showen..O well..Any who I'm wanting to get a new motor for the honda..Its a civic dx coupe 95 with a d-15. Should i spend the money on a nother D motor like the ZC or go B and spend a few more bucks? IDK i'm lost on this..How hard would it be to go B? WOOT let know what ya think..KOV.

a b series isnt hard if you have some mechanical experience. IMO i would take a b series over a d but thats me. are you definitly going turbo down the road or what?

really depends how fast you want your car and how much you want to spend .if you have been happy with the car just put in another dseries and drive

A D16Z6 would be easier to acquire, more affordable, will just drop in and will most likely require to upgrade your ECU at the most. You would also have to run two wires for VTEC. It's a very easy upgrade and you could work it up for boost for a lot less.

That's just my two cents. The bottom line is how much money you want to spend and your goals. I wish you the best on your quest my friend.

Well I have about 1200$..I just spoke with my friend boosta..AKA NiK..He told me with that kind of cash i should just go d-16ZC non v-tec and turbo it later on..How hard would that BE?I know i wana get a few fun parts for the motor to but what would those be to help improve my SPEED?

lol...bro, ive never heard anyone call nick "boosta". but ya, go with the d series...you know we can do it ourselves with the homie system. }=)

so is your role cage post tied into this one as in the same car???

Indeed..I have a friend up in Burns OR that is going to bend and wirefeed the roll cage in for me for a case of beer. His a old fart but knows how to bend and wirefeed..He has a old bug that he raced back in the day..The roll cage in that is what i want..Its going to be a simple roll cage.. Nothing crazy..I'm going to have it powder coated BRITE GREEN..YES this is the same car..I know i'm going to go broke trying to build this thing up..BUT ITS ABOUT TIME..I have had my car for about 3 years now and have never had anything go wrong tell now..WOOT I LOVE HONDAS..KOV

on that budget, d16z6 with a decent clutch, i/h/e, and if you got a good deal on everything, maybe have enough left over for an intake man or something. g/l on the build;)

Yea, for $1,200 you should go with a z6. Save the extra cash (if any) for turbo. You can easily get ~220whp on a z6 reliably. Just ask blanco. :)

D-series.org Will have a ton of answers on D series and arguments as to why or why not to stick with one. Honestly if done properly you could probably keep your same motor and make it pretty fast...
