Ok I have just swapped a 99 b16a2 out of an EM1 into a 96 ek coupe. The coupe had the d16y7 in it. The problem I am having is the ecu from the em1 had one extra gray plug that does not seem to be in the harness in the 96 coupe. I was wondering if it needs a conversion harness but both cars should be obd2 as far as I know. I am new to this so any help on this would be great. I can post pics of the plugs if needed.

Thanks in advance.

what you need is a jumper harness. I'd stick with your stock ecu and get it chipped. But its all you man, just giving you my opinion.

where would I get the jumper harness. I just want to get it sorted and back on the road.

your going to want to get a obd2b to OBD1 jumper harness if your wanting to chip your car. OBD2 ecus cannot be chipped or reprogrammed.

Ok so if I get a p28 ecu thats chipped and a conversion harness I should be sorted at that point. There is no near by me as I am in the UK who chips ecu's so I will have to buy one allready done. Can anyone sugest a good place to get one in the USA. Thanks

Are you running just a stock b16a2? If so, it would be pretty easy to get that :) chipped or virgin ecu.

yea its a stock b16a2. But no body in the uk chips ecu's that isn't charging an arm and a leg. Its cheaper to get one from the usa and ship it here. Just need to know where.
