ok right now i have a dohc vtec engine in my 94 civic its blown no im looking for a new engine and im on this website right now looking at motors(HONDA Engines @ EnginesUs - Rebuilt Low Mieage Japanese Engines) now in the civic section it doesnt have a 1.8 liter vtech dohc it just has a sohc now im looking at the crx section and it looks like the same engine as in the civic section but if you scroll all the way down there is a prelude engine that is vtec dohc and it has 200 hp and the description is ''This price is for the ENGINE ONLY and does not include a transmission, ecu, or axels'' now does this mean i would have to change all my shit because my car is front wheel drive, im just confused i would like the same engine that is in it now but i dont want to pay big bills if you know soewhere where i can get my engine please help me and if you can explain to me what i have written above that would be great aswell

ok WOW its researching time. first off the motor you are looking for is more than likely a b18c1, which would be found in the acura section because most of them came out a 94+ integra gsr. so there is your solution if you want to keep the 1.8 DOHC vtec. if you upgraded to the 2.2 which is a h series motor then yes you would need all new axles and an ecu and some other stuff. idk where you got the rwd conversion because the f20c is the only motor around that is rwd and it came out of an S2000. do some researching man there is lots to learn here. any help just let me know.

yes it is a b18c motor sorry i did not say that, ''blown'' means that my block is cracked and my pictons are probably bent to shit. as for my motor situation yes i would like a b18c but there expensive as shit, so if you know where i can get a good for cheap plaese let me know im also looking at a b16 engine what the difference between the b18 and b16?

If your car had a B18C in it previously all that you would need to do is take it out and put the B16 in.

;)
There = A direction. "It's over there."
Their = Denotes ownership. "That's their car."
They're = Contraction for "they are". "They're two of a kind."

"They're going over there to pick up their new car." :)

lmaooo well im just going to be getting a b18c engine again so i will post picture of my beast and i want you to tell me what you think of the car

no i havent pulled off the head, but i know for a fact the block is shot. and it did have a knock ill post a video of it

Pull the head before you drop $3k on another engine. Also, find out why the engine blew so it doesn't happen again.

well what happened is my air filter was under my front bumper now my civic is low so i was at a stop sign and i was sitting in a dip with a huge puddle in there and my engine got hot real qucik so the block got hot so i sucked water in, and im sure my block was a little in the puddle so you can see what happened

1) why would you put your air filter "under" your bumper??
2) if your air filter is that low to "suck" up water won't it hit the ground all the time??
i'm not takin shit just askin why to some of lifes mysterys
o and 3 i would just buy a new block

dude i didnt do thats how i bought the car and if i were to see if the motor is reuseable where do i take it?

To a garage. Pull the head off, and see how badly it's damaged.

Any engine is reusable, it's just a matter of how much money you want to spend. Remember, it's just metal.

Is that an aftermarket intake manifold? If it isn't, you got a b16... not a B18c(1)

Also, you don't seem to have the knowledge it's gonna take to pull a head off so I suggest you take it to someone who will pull it off 'properly.' If the head is still good but you don't want to/know how to put it on a new/good block, I suggest selling the head and just use the money you get and put it towards a new motor...

not worth it when i can get a new engine for 2k with about 30k miles when the one i have now has about 130k on it
