hey guys i have a quick question

im thinking of buying a cat and exaust system

so i cant use it on my car?

im confussed can anyone help?

do you have the link to what it is, its prolly a header with a test pipe that takes place of the stock cat

yah they call them test pipes too, so i just take off my old cat, and but on a test pipe?

why is it called a test pipe,

in other words in it a perforrmance cat?

thanks

yea it bolts right up and they call it that because that's all it is, its a straight through pipe with no sound absorbing anything just a pipe

i know i say this on all your posts...but really if you just read a bit you can figure out most of these easy things on your own.

yea it bolts right up and they call it that because that's all it is, its a straight through pipe with no sound absorbing anything just a pipe

ok ok so will it be very very loud?

or will it be ok for crusin around and als will it make my car faster or slower?

if you have a good name brand cat back it wont be to loud but if you just run some pipe with a fart can muffler on the back it will be very loud. so make sure you get a good cat back or just buy a bolt in resonator instead of a test pipe

like taking to get the car tested for smog and stuff every year

You really, REALLY need to do your research. I bet if you tired to google all this, it would come right up. And there's always all the reference threads here. Please, do some research.

yahh ok ok i understand now so a resonator is ok but a test pipe bad

and do i have to get test ed for smog in wisonsin?

Look it up, Jesus!!! He doesn't even live in Wisonsin!

lol thank you tech and every one else

if u dont wana help me dont post on my thread!

im here to ask questions and interact with others leave me alone some of u

no clue im in alabama open headers all day lol

screw you and you nonsmog testing state.... i just failed my inspection cause i did that.... psh...

and 91, if you have to get your car inspected every year for smog you will not pass with a resonator either you have to have a Cat. Converter for emissions testing to pass you, you best bet would be keeping your stock Cat.

I haven't even spoken to you the majority of the time. But follow the rules. I'm pretty sure it's stated somewhere that you are not supposed to post a thread until you make sure it's not posted already or in the reference section. Besides, I can't stress enough, how much you need to research. I'm not so good at cars, but I know if you google this stuff, you'll find the answer within minutes.
