Ok, I worked on this fucker for 2 hours and the drivers side slid right in and i hammered the rest in. the passenger side for some reason will not go in for the life of it! i feel the lines or threads in the center of the brake rotor and their fine. and i look at the cv axle and the little stripes or threads are good maybe a barely little messed up. i put grease and hammered it as hard as i could while spinning the hub. do i need a new cv axle or what??:(

Yes, Its standard, but what werd is their the same axles i was using before and the sam transmission and it still wont go it. its like somethings stopping it. but if i take the axle out the tranny and hammer it in on the outer side of the hub it goes in no problem. its werd if it goes in on the opposite side then i'd think it should go in the other side no problem. what else could this be???

You shouldn've have tried to hammer it in. The splines probably aren't lined up or it's a little crooked.

Thats what i thought thats why i tried spinning the hub and hammer softly and it never would find a path to go in. its like somethings blocking it.

I had that issue with my Accord. Patience eventually paid off(took a lot of wiggling and spinning). You should clean the splines and inspect them.

i cleaned them greazed them and everything. i took 2 hours of trying and trying. i think im gonna buy a new axle. hopefully that works.

Yes, if something is messed up and cant be fixed what do you usually do next?

In that case would i have to replace it all?

It would be easier to just replace the whole knuckle with a known good one but a shop can press in new hubs pretty easily. You can change your wheel bearings while you're at it. If you have a HF/Std and plan on swapping motors in the future, might as well swap in DX/Si/EX knuckles and axles.

the hub axle holes on the std are larger than the others
