Ok I got the specs on the whole car today.. I think I wrote them all down right so bare with me.. Let me know what yall think of the setup and how the car should run and what kind of hp etc.. How much boost can this motor handle?

92 CX OBD1
T3/T4 Hybrid Turbo
38mm WG or BOV can't remember which he said.
B16a3
Type R Head, Ported and Polised, 3 angle valve job,JD Springs, Ti retainers and locks, (1) JDM B16 Cam (1) JDM GSR Cam
LS Crank
LS Rods
Nippon Racing Pistons (8:5.1 comp ratio) That sound right???
Total Seal Piston Rings
GSR Girdle
ARP Rod and Main bolts
RC 650cc Injectors
Walbro 255 pump
LS Trans with Lentex gears and a Exedy Stage 2(I think he said stage 2)
ECU has been tuned by John Vega @ Phearable.net My buddy said something about its zipped? And the car is tuned without O2 sensors???
Type R steering Rack and pinion
Integra a/c
4 wheel disc brakes
Type r suspension front and back
Said it has some type of really good coilovers also. Can't remember the name.

He said is has 550cc injectors. Ill have to find out exactly what the rest has done. I know I rode in it on 7psi before he put his boost controller in it and it flies!!
 
18psi on a B16? Ask your buddy what it's tuned with and who did it... From my experiences, that's a lot of boost in an already high compression motor...
 
Is it possible that the pistons he changed out are like a dome pistons to lower compression?? I was looking at the downpipe and noticed the O2 sensor wires were cut off.. I asked why, he said if its tuned good enough then the 02 isn't needed.. Sound right?

Dome top pistons dont lower CR, and not needing a O2 sensor? :bs:
 
Yup, that motor can't possibly run at its best with no sensor.. That much boost with 550cc injectors and an ecu stuck in limp mode because it has no idea how its running is just a bad deal all together. Could be damaging the motor by running it too lean, could be all clogged up with carbon buildup by running rich.. Thing is, the ecu just has no idea so its dumping fuel one way or the other.. usually rich in limp mode, but I don't know how rich its going to be with boost on it.

Tell him to get the o2 sensor fixed, do a compression check on the motor, and hope for the best.
 
well to start out i think you should go have it dyno tunned to see what you have, or could get out of it like it is
 
My suggestion is to start your own build. Don't take on someone else's headache. If you want it faster, build it that way. Run the crap out of that motor until it blows, and then go from there...
 
Is this a good setup?? How much boost can I run on it? He just built the motor not long ago so it doesn't have many miles on it..Im COMPLETELY new to the import scene so thats why I asked what I could do to make it faster.. So say if it did blow one day, whats something I could do to make it faster using that turbo setup and same injectors and fuel pump.. Is there a better head I could swap? What about block?
 
the setup sounds fine but theres no way of knowing what your asking, your gona have to go get it dyno tunned
 
CRV (B20) block with a B16 or B18 vtec head... Also known as a Frankenstein swap...

Its a b16a3 block with a type r head is what the car has.. What does the type r head come off of orignally?
