Watsup everyone.
I guess I'm a newbie on here,
but the thing is I was almost getting rid of my 94 accord lx, with the f22b in it,
when someone told me I can actually upgrade it for not so much.
So I just got a paint job and I'm getting rims, next thing I wanna do is turbo charge the engine on a very tight budget.
He says I can collect used parts here and there and build my motor.
I just need to do 13s and I'll be happy it's just really slow.
I'm finding turbos off cars like mitsubishi but stock turbo's are kinda small aren't they.

Please give me some advice on what I should consider.

on a tight budget huh? Maaco for a paint "job" and cheap walmart brand rims and tires... and the turbo? not cheap so go ahead and through that out the window, for a good repaint at a shop prepair for 800 - 2000 dollars depending on the paint, rims and good tires 800, turbo w/ engine build - 3000-5000 bucks... goodluck!

Well, i would consider not getting wheels. More money for your engine. Depends on how much you really want to do 13s.
Since you're planning a turbo build, I reccomend some stronger internals, and a used stock turbo to get started.
As for you saying stock turbos are small; I don't see that as much of a factor, unless you're trying to push crazy boost (which unless you have forged internals and an intercooler, i wouldn't really go past 11 pounds.) Small turbos spool faster, which means less turbo lag, and earlier horsepower. Especially considering the size of honda engines, a stock mitsu turbo would work pretty well.

For example. A mitsubishi TE04H turbo is a relatively small turbo. It spools pretty quick, and can take up to about 25 psi. I know quite a few people spooling 18+ psi or more with no problem with it. And they can be had in decent condition for relatively cheap. Just watch for shaft play.

As for what you'll need to do this though is stronger valves, and better pistons. The increased heat of turbocharging will cook them pretty fast. And some forged rods would definitely be of good use.
You'll also need to add fuel to avoid running too lean. Megasquirt tends to work great for this type of thing. You will most likely want a stronger fuel pump (i recommend wallbro) and stronger fuel lines would be recommended.

You'll want to monitor your air/fuel ratio. And go easy on it while you're still working the bugs out. That's all i can think of right now. Depending, this'll cost you between 1500-3000 depending on what you do. Just make sure your engine can take what you dish out before you start pushing it.

Why the post whoring?

i already have the rims(they're not walmart) and paint job done.
i actually got really good deals on these.
i found a used turbo kit on craigslist off an inegra.
will post the details later.
how much boost do you think I would be able to throw at my stock engine
without detonation or messing it up, if I do get the small turbo,
like I said I'm not trying to be incredibly fast.(I would like to just don't have the money right now).

Does anyone have any suggestions or anything to say about Individual Throttle Bodies? This wouldn't be as effective because its not forced induction right?

Oh I also have to change my struts, I'm thinking monroe sensa tracs or KYBs
again any suggestions?

boost on that stock engine safely? hmm... i would say 5 - 6 no more than 7, its cast iron internals can take a beating. and ITB's are a PITA, they are almost impossible to tune and have them keep the tune.. waste of money imo. And the struts i would go with, if you have the money, some Koni yellow, Tokico Illuminas, or KYB AGX's

See I have a lot of questions because I haven't built or modified
a motor before but I've always been into it and this is part of my research
now that I'm just about ready to work on my car.
So a T2 turbo or any stock mitsubishi turbo would do?
I got this ad on craigslist
sale-795536970@craigslist.org
should I consider that?
All I would have to do is change the manifold and
find a downpipe from the turbo outlet right?
How should I go about getting the right compression and that kind of thing,
or should I just leave that to the ECU I get?

You can't adjust your compression via electronic tuning. However, that particular engine's compression is fairly good for boost without any adjustments...

Thanks I appreciate your help. Did you see the kit on craigslist through the link I put up?
Should I consider it, normally when buying a used turbo all you gotta check for is the shaft and rust right?

I believe so. That's pretty much the only moving part on the turbo.

Yes, definitely check for shaft play. And yeah, if the turbo is rusted all to hell then it probably wasn't oiled properly...

So my never ending saga never ends.
So my car's temp. gauge went all the way up today and I didn't drive that far.
I just got the radiator changed last week so I'm thinking it's the thermostat so I bought one and I will install it tommorrow. Would this mess up my radiator?
Oh and my suspension problem is getting worse. I noticed my car pulling me side to side more than usual today, and the wheel keeps shaking especially when I'm driving slow. Does anyone know if this could mean I have to change my rotors.
I'm really broke right now, if I had the money I would just change it all out.

If it was the rotors going bad then you'd experience the shaking mostly when you're braking, not just driving normally. If it's shaking all the time, then it might be something else, a wheel bearing maybe...

it shakes more when im driving slow, it tends 2 get less when i speed up.
would that be wheel balancing.

as if i dont have enough problems. trust me every1 no matter wat u do, do not be broke..
the lack of $$ is the root of all evil.

Thanks guys 4 the help.
I changed the thermostat this morning and the overheating
issue seems to be gone.
I'm really glad thats over with.
So now I gotta deal with my suspesnion issue.
So I'm hoping to sell my amp today and get some konis or monroes,
then I'll get another amp later.
So what do you guys think Koni or monroe?

For the most part. Women will bring you there pretty quick, too.

Welcome to the world of tuning.

How brilliant, once again friends.
I'm driving home in my shaky car proud that my engine is no-longer overheating.
just as I'm about to get home, the shaking gets really bad so I stop at NTB to find out if whats going on. Turns out the three of the tires that I did not replace are all bad and about to blow up on me.
So I'm torn between getting new tires for my 18" that make my car look so much better or get my struts and use my old rusty tires with hub caps?
Notice in both scenarios I do not have my music. This is cruelty. I thought I was gonna use the extra money for something else, sway bars maybe after getting new struts tomorrow. Noooot:(
