yes, you can put the 92 engine into your car - you have several options - to swap the 92 engine in complete, as it came out of the 92, you will need to convert the car from DPFI to MPFI - then, you would need to decide whether you wanted to run it as OBD0, which is what your DX is, or run it OBD1, which is what the engine is - running it OBD0 would be just a matter of getting a 88-91 CRX/Civic Si or HF distributor and 88-91 CRX/Civic Si ECU and making the DPFI to MPFI wiring changes, which involves adding some wiring and an injector resistor box - to run it OBD1 you would need the OBD1 ECU for the engine and an OBD0 to OBD1 ECU jumper harness along with doing the DPFI to MPFI wiring changes - another option, and the easiest, would be to swap the intake manifold from your DX engine onto the 92 and leave it as DPFI - use the DX ECU and DX distributor and you would need to make a slight wiring change for the cooling fan switch (which you would need to do in any case)
