I've been on here for like a month now and I think I've made a finalized list of everything I want to do to my car. I have a '94 Prelude S with Tokico blues and lowering springs, Stoptech's Sportstop slotted rotors, stainless steel brake lines and an AEM short ram intake so far. The body has 3 small-medium dents and the paint is faded. I can put up pics if people really want. All opinions, suggestions and bashing are welcome.

Phase 1
New F22Ax enigne
All new plugs, wires, belts, gaskets, etc
Bisimoto heat shielding intake gasket

Phase 2
Honda non-vtec cam core from Bisimoto
Bisimoto non-vtec level 1 camshaft regrind
Bisimoto cam gear
Tune

Phase 3
Koyo performance radiator
Dent removal
Respray OEM blue

Phase 4
Action clutch, single diaphragm, unsprung
Bisimoto 11.5lb alluminum flywheel
Neuspeed short shift adapter

Phase 5
OMNI-power 70mm throttle body w/TPS
AEM high volume fuel rail
AEM adjustable fuel pressure regulator
Unorthodox Racing ultra SS underdrive pulleys
?fuel injectors?
Tune

Phase 6
Speedy Wheels 17" Lite-7 (white)
Tanabe Super Medalion Hyper Spec Catback Exhaust

Phase 7
Bisimoto rough bore and sleeve
Bisimoto 86mm, 10.5:1 shelf pistons
Tune

Phase 8
Bisimoto CNC + Portflow standard headwork
Tune

Phase 9
Bisimoto VS, stainless steal, ceramic coated header
Tune

Phase 10
Bisimoto license plate frame :D
I know you all think decals and frames are gay, but if I have that much of Bisi's shit in my car I might as well. And Bisimoto is just plain badass shit anyways.

That's it. I'm giving myself 3 yrs for this project, cause I'm pretty sure that's all my budget can afford. My total is over 9K already, and on military pay...yah. I can only hope to deploy, than I'll cut the time in like half. Still trying to figure out what fuel injectors I want. Suggestions? So what do you think?

I posted this up on a different forum and got my first response of "Phase 11: H22 swap". I'm not obsessed with v-tec like everyone else, I like the f series. If you really want ot repost that I should just swap to H22, I guess go ahead, but I'm still not going to. :D

Someone who researches and comes up with a plan BEFORE he asks everyone else what to do? You don't say!

Right on man. Good luck with the enhancements to your car. Post pics along the way.

Your list sounds good. It's nice to see someone who's put some thought and research into their questions before posting.

Anyways, my only suggestion would be to maybe save up for a bit and do more of the engine work at one time. Either that, or buy your spare engine and then keep it our of the car until it's completely built. I mean, if you're going to tear the engine apart and build on it at least three times, then it probably makes more sense to just build the engine on a stand rather then have to pull it our of the car three times and then have it tuned three times. All of that's going to add significantly to your cost...

I agree and I wish I could. However I live in a military barracks, I have no place to keep it. We have a pretty decent auto shop on my base where I plan to do most of the work. I'm gonna ask the manager, cause he's a honda guy, if he has any place I can store the engine and work on it overtime. However if he doesn't, I'm pretty much forced to drop it in right away. My current engine also has 279,xxx miles as well, so that's a little bit of motivation to swap in a new one pretty quick too. :D

I think I'm gonna go with Venom Hi Flow Performance fuel injectors. They come for the F series engine in 440cc/min, 550cc/min and 720cc/min. Anyone know anything about Venom injectors, good, bad? Thanks.

just wondering why the f series engine over the H? Also I wouldn't watch the mileage on an f22. Just keep up on the maintainance and it will run. I know nothing about vennom injectors. I'm looking at RC, but now that I've heard of them I'll take a look

Well, F22A head flows well, so I can start with bottom end work and wait a little longer on the head hopefully, cause the headwork will be expensive. Also, I'm horrible with saving money :(, so I know I can get an F22Ax for like $350 where as I'm looking at having to save up well over 1K for an H series. At appx $370 a month in extra cash after all my deductions, bills and food, I doubt I'd make it long, haha. I like SOHC a little more than DOHC. Lastly, I was talking over with a mechanic who's running a badass civic and he actually chose against v-tec cause it's been a pain in his ass before. I know most people like it and I haven't heard of alot/any problems people on here have had with it, but I chose against it too. :D

I agree about the high mileage on the honda engine, however I actually bought it with 268xxx mi on it. So I don't know it's history for all those miles, when I got the car I picked it up for a grand. I had to put 2+K into it just to get it running properly, and that included having to replace some engine gaskets to fix a small oil leak. It's been doing fine, but I'm just skeptical.

Yah, I know Venom makes nitrous kits at least, but I don't know how good those are either. It doesn't say anything about the spray pattern, cause I'm wondering if it's cone or stream. I'll take a look at RC to see if they have some good ones now though.

Damn, RC makes some badass racing app fuel injectors. I should only need 550cc or less injectors though.

Thanks to an old post by pissedoffsol in '04 (yes, I use the search feature) I found a site that has alot of fuel injector info. The non-vtec 'lude came with 240cc peak and hold injectors. Using the calculations they lay out on the site, thats equal to being able to handle roughly 192hp. Using the same calculations the 550cc injectors can handle roughly 440hp. I want to stick with peak and hold, since I already have them and they're better than saturated anyways. I do not expect I'll hit 440hp, so I'll probably be looking for around the 500cc range peak and hold injectors.
