need a drummer, no shit.

probably because the last one's legs fell off. lol

totally not my style... and i like hard shit.

no melody at all.

I kind of agree with B, the songs I listened to didn't do it for me. Just seemed to be missing something. It didn't make me want to tap my heel, bob my head, or curb stomp someone like most of the heavier music I listen to does.

I find it impressive for it's speed and the technicality of play. It isn't necessarily a crowd pleaser and it definitely isn't core (hardcore, metalcore, etc.) I can't think of a point in the entire CD where they play any zeros, which are requisite for any kind of heavy core-type music. But, in the word's of Cattle Decapitation, GORE not CORE!!!

Wow, fucking awesome.

I'mma have to get a higher quality recording and put it on my home system to get the full effect, though. My computer's audio system is crying.

I have, of course. I'm pretty thorough.;) I actually spent all last week listening to Suffocation then moved on to some Decapitated!

The Agony Scene was probably one of the best death metal bands in my opinion. There last CD they came out with is more thrash metal and was very disapointing in my opinon. Go back a couple years, when they first came out, to there self titled debut. Good shit. I've kinda left the death metal scene however, but she was my first love. I'll take a listen when I'm not on my work computer and get back to the thread. :D

If you like bands like the ones I bolded above, check out Hopes Die Last and Emarosa. They're unsigned bands, alot of similar sound. Also Envy on the Coast and He Is Legend. They're both signed, but agian, some badass stuff.

Hopes Die Last - great band, be prepared for high pitched vocals, Chiodos style
HOPES DIE LAST on purevolume

Emarosa - used to sound like underoath, now boyband/rock/wtf style
Emarosa on purevolume

He Is Legend - older stuff is more hardcore, new stuff sounds Shinedown/Godsmack like
He Is Legend on purevolume

Envy on the Coast - just badass
Envy on the Coast on purevolume

All links should be able to be accessed on work computers.

edit: forgot to post the part about the topic lol. Listened to 'em, not too bad for a starting band. I think it could use a little more set direction in what they play. They have some ridiculously sick drums, and badass guitar, but it isn't going anywhere, just kinda banging away. If they keep working and developing there sound with a direction, they could definantly make something fuckin' sweet.

edit x2: Just listened to Emarosa's new shit...WAY different than what it used to be, interesting none the less. However I don't know if I like it and it definantly doesn't fit in with the catagory. Deleted the "alot of Underoath type sound" after "Emarosa" and replaced.

I love a lot of those bands. August Burns Red are a bunch of hard working kids. They were very young when they put out Thrill Seeker. Check out Decapitated's Winds of Creation. The drummer was 15 when they recorded. Un-fucking-believable.

Aaron Gillesipie, drummer and singer of Underoath, joined the band at the age of 14. He's blind in one eye, which is the eye he always wears his hair over and colorblind in the other eye. He also formed his side project band, The Almost, in which he played every instrument for the recorded album. That's fucking badass.

Any one in the DFW going let me know lol ...

or any one who is catching their tour in another state let me know how it goes :p

Have you heard their new CD undr8d "The Messangers." I have heard that cd atleast 100 times and still love every second of it

I haven't given it as much time as the first one but it is pretty awesome. My brother saw them recently and said they put on one hell of a show. Apparently, according to them, they push themselves to the edge of their musical abilities at all times. What you hear is the best they can do, which is awesome.
