okay so what i did was swap a different y7 head on my y7 block because the other one had a bad lifter. well i try to start the car and it idles at like 100 and when you floor it, after 10 sec or so it revs up but i noticed alot of smoke comes out if above like 3000[grey colored] maybe because it was flooding? i changed the oil and coolant..


could it be my timing is off?


also, when it rev's it doesnt sound like it should



i never took any wires off the dizzy so its not firing order.
 
i installed the headgasket. i did everything and torqued it down to specs. i did it 4 times in sequential order. so i dont understand how it could be that

could the timing be off and the headgasket is fine?
 
yes i read the manual and thats why i cant figure out what went wrong.

you think its from air injection on the manifold?

If you have white/grey smoke that means your burning coolant, bottom line. Either the head is cracked or warped or you may have a bad intake manifold gasket (altough Ive never seen that as being the case on a Honda)
