You'll also need spring compressors. You can buy these for around $30 at an auto parts store, and some places will allow you to rent them as well. A torque wrench would also be good to have, and ideally you'd want air tools, but they're not necessary. If you live in an area where things get rusty, then I'd also suggest plenty of penetrating fluid and maybe some replacement control arm bolts just in case things get nasty...

^ I agree with brutal on the control arm bolts. Though I haven't had any problems taking mine apart (280k all in PA so you know stuff gets rusty ^^/). You could also go with a koni struts/tein s-tech springs. I want to do this set up for my DD Accord and it can be done for under $300.

cool cool thanks a lot, yea i live in texas right now and the car is originaly from here and sat in a yard for years,so i'm probly going to buy the whole oem asymbily replacement. with school and work it should take me about 1 month to gather the parts i need. i might as well buy the spring compressor so that i wont have to worry about it agian or if i get another car or something, so thanks for that brutal, dam good advice. with that and my cam shaft project i should be set for a while....fricken sweat.

ill also be checkin out those struts and springs you mentioned korax, thanx.

Yep, no problem man. And yeah, I would probably just buy a set of spring compressors, then you'll have them to keep. They're not very expensive, only like $25-$30 usually...

That's cool man, I used to see those springs go for $150 a set all day long. There does not seem to be many for our car on ebay atm but if you search you should be able to find them for that.

word dude, man im falling for my cb7 big time haha i just sold my 98 ranger to pay bills and get more parts, even though that ranger was a 4.0 xlt it got shity mileage and had twice the maintenance keep up my honda has

^ haha, yeah. Oh and I just realized how big of an idiot I am. Well not just now... but yeah. I Was thinking Koni when I meant KYB struts. Konis are $6-700 for a set ;x.

ok this might be a dumb question, im looking on ebay on the kyb and skunk2 and i noticed they either sell shocks and springs or shocks and struts...why not all three? you need all three to lower ur car right?

DropZone Racing Struts/Shocks+Coilovers 90-97 Accord-$270-ebay
TOKICO Shocks 90-97 Honda Accord + Lowering Springs Kit-ebay $375

Shocks, Struts, Dampers. Tomatoe, Tomato,.... Tomacko? ;x. I'm not sure about the dropzones but the tokicos probably aren't bad.

lol and the tokicos are blue to, my car is (stock)blue-ish and flat black trim (i painted),soon to be candy blue and flat black in about 4months from now. lol not that anyone is gonna go stop me on the road and say, "got to look at ur spring and see if they match," but for being OCD like me its a plus lol, dont worry im not pickin then on color, will check em out first haha

There is a difference between shocks and struts, but most people use the terms interchangeably. You just need springs and shocks...

so my friend just pulled of some skunk2 springs off his 95 lude si was wonderin if they'd fit on my ride, if not there for sale. he took em of cuz hes gonna sell it and hes puting factory stuff back on, the shock i trashed but the springs are still good....
