So, my fugly CRX died, again. Fuck that. So, I went looking for a new rex and this is what I found!:

1991 Honda Civic CRX si

Mine!!! I sold my old one for $525 and am getting this one!!! Yay! I'm going to get it tonight. Anyway, it's completely stock.

This was basically my dream CRX before I came across my other one. It's only had two owners ever and looks to be well taken care of. This time around though, I'm getting the timing belt replaced first off and an oil change. Learned my lesson the first time. Any other ideas on what to check first??? I don't want to run into the same issues as last time....

Red... Industrial strength ticket attractant.

So, HX wheels, ditch the bra, strip and repaint the trim that has sun rot, and shoot that biatch gunmetal.

P.S. Check the rear quarters, door trim mount holes, around the windshield, and antenna mount for rust and address that immediately.

nice find but not worth the money, u can find something better shop around

What the hell are you talking about? Almost all the CRX's around here are about that price or more. These cars are getting really expensive all over the place. For $2500 (which I talked him down to) that is damn fine car. The A/C needs to be recharged and the sunroof tweaked. It's got hardly any body imperfections and not tears or fuck up on the interior. Do some research, once again.

Oh god, tell me about. My mom had a red 05 Mustang. Ridiculous tickets.

I think I'm going to sell the bra. I don't mind the rims for now. I checked for rust briefly, but I live in a desert, so that's pretty much impossible. Nothing really bad that I could see. Engine looks in good shape. All that jazz. I'm happy with it, especially since for $3000 around here gets you a fucked up 88 hf with body damage out the ass.....people are so stupid.

Nice find. Looks pretty clean.

Have you taken it for a test drive yet? Did the tranny/clutch feel good? That would be something that I would look at.

I couldn't, I didn't have my license with me. But my grandma did and she has a 95 Civic Dx, 5 speed. She loved driving the rex for the few minutes she did lol.

Congrats babe !

Looks good. At this point in the game, do the MOST YOU CAN DO TO KEEP IT. In other words, keep it lowkey and block it in the driveway. THEFTPROOF.

Actually you guys are wrong about the red. It's just a myth, all of the cops I've talked to say red is the hardest color to pick up with their radar and to see. White and tan are the easiest colors to spot, imagine that. Apparently on a nice day their radar will pick up white cars over a mile away.

Wow. Nice find! The sunroof can probably be fixed by taking it apart and cleaning / greasing the rails. They're pretty easy to tear down.

Oh and yea it's a really sweet car. So clean, you rarely see crx's that clean and unmolested.

Naa, red attracts the cops attention.

I painted my bright red crx gunmetal and it was like a stealth mode. Cops would pull me over just for the hell of it when it was red, all of that stopped immediately upon color change. I picked gunmetal because it was close to the color of pavement, and would not catch any attention rolling down the road. It worked like you wouldn't believe.

very nice find!! real clean(the wheels arent a big deal as you said)

Still doesn't disprove my point. Gunmetal is a color that is harder to see. If you had painted it white and lost cop attention, then it would have disproved what I said ;)
