17 city mpg, ewww. I'll take 100 hp and 35mpg city. Hate the red, but it's a nice looking car.

Fail car is fail.

13.9 seconds is awesome for a family car. But its still an accord.. Which is supposed to be a family car.. not a 13.9 second quarter mile, 2 door, 40% firmer suspended freakshow. Want a sporty 4 door 4 seat honda? Go buy an RSX.

i remember reading that the accord was originally envisioned as a sporty car, but honda pulled the budget back and decided to make it an economy car. and now, they've come full circle, and the accord finally has some sportiness to it.

Well there has been the euro Rs, as well as the TSX (the real Accord, ours is the Inspire). Saw a guy with one out on the track yesterday. I'd say they have been kinda sporty for a while.

I also would never call any coupe a family car.

no euro R's sold in the US. also, even though the TSX is the accord in europe, it's not here...

besides, i'd say this is still better than the last v6 coupe, and a world of difference from the first v6 coupe

you'd think honda could do way better out of it.

i have more HP in the M3 and see more than 17mpg most the time. (i'm at like 21 lifetime)

and i'm prety sure i drive the car a lot harder than an epa test.

And another thing:

13.9 isn't 13 seconds. 13 seconds is 13.00000 seconds. 13.9 is almost 14, or high 13's. People need to learn to round, not truncate.

Example:
Current gas price is $3.98/gal. Here's the logic:

A gallon of gas is $4.
or
A gallon of gas is $3.

How do you tell that it's actually $3.98 with that logic? We round up to the nearest dollar with everything, so why not with 1/4 times?

General consensus in the racing world is 13s= anything from 13.0 to 13.99. Can't compare that to the gas prices unless you say "gas is in the 4's" or something like that.

It's still stupid. a 10.999999999999 1/4 miles run allows you to call the car a 10-second-car. stupid.

I guess I don't understand it because I come from a non-straight-line racing background, where we measure in minutes and seconds, not MPH and seconds.

so a honda v6 other than the nxs that hit 13s its about time considering i know of three 4 bangers that can do it

They do the same with road courses; "Runs 7 minutes around the Ring!!!" when in fact it's 7:57. Yes it's stupid, but that's how everything is.
