Richard Alva CRX Si
Hey every one My names Richard and i just recently got into cars I have always loved Hondas but my family has not always had a car for me to invest my time into. Until this year my final year of high school have i managed to save up enough to buy my own CRX, my dream car. Ever since I was five living in EL Salvador, I dreamed of one day owning one of these cars. Only the rich drove these there, but now i have moy own any ways i just had a few questions about these cars.First What does JDM mean?Second what is the difference in models like the Si Dx and SirWhat kind of engine does an 88 Si have and is it worth keeping or swaping out.I want to install two CRV Kicker subs, what kind of amp should i use and is this a good ideaAlso should i install CRX seats or Civic seat into my car?kit or no kit?Euro lights?Alloy wheels?what are the best wheels for these carsAlso what is an Alingment because i guess mine needs oneAlso how do you change the shifter on one? I got a Civic HB shifter because the guy who sold it to me had a cheap shifter on it.sorry for sounding like a noob but im just getting started. Also i just recently bought a DC shift knob is that good or bad?what is the differences in engines? like b1.6 b 1.5 ect

dude, JDM means Japanese Domestic Market which means the product is from Japan. i'd say swap your motor cause well, it's an 88 and it's probably old and dying. don't get a swap unless you know what the hell your doing though man. also about the subs, look up the specs on your subs and see how many watts they can handle, that'll tell you what size amp you can get. by the way, two kickers is a lot for a little CRX. real big, real loud, and real heavy.

Open some books and put your nose in them, you have a lot of research to do my friend. BTW, the shift knob just unscrews.

yeah i just got the manual for the 88 CRX in the mail today so ill be spending most of my time with that i also looked up the thing for the subs and i figured what ever focus more on whats going on with the car as far as the engine and tranny. To early to focus on aesthetic. As far as the shift knob goes well ill admit that was a pretty lame question. thanks any ways guys for all your feed back. im just getting started
