ok so i saw a what looked like a 1994-1997 accord drive by me and i noticed it had a "Type-R" badge on it. I'm not too familiar with accords. I've never heard of a Type-R accord before, but i have heard of a Type-S and a Euro-R. so is it really a Type-R or is the guy just being stupid and throwing on badges that try to make him look cooler??? and yes i did search before i posted this but i didn't find anything about a Accord Type-R, thanks guys

It was just a badge. There is no Type R Accord, not even in Japan, so there's certainly not one in the states...
 
ok cool it was a badge i've never seen before it was square and in the was"Type" in small letters on top and "R" under it with a red backing and chrome. but sweet thanks for the help guys now i'll have to call him out on it when i see him driving around again, lmao

no thats the kicker the type r accord was only in europe go figure lol, so they came both ways
 
There was no Type-R Accord in Europe from 94-97, and there were no Type-R Accords in Europe until 2002.

In the Arabian market, from 1999-2002 there was a Type-R, but I doubt someone imported that.

However, there was a SiR in Europe in 2000, but that was only the Wagon.


Sounds to me like someone got on eBay and bought a badge. I saw a Honda Civic CX Type-R the other day.
 
Ya, when people put the Type R engine they think their car is now a Type R. My integra has an Integra XSi decal on the back, but i have a b16a, JDM one-pieces,DA sidemarkers and JDM cluster. So im not missing much. A type r'ed car should atleast have the matching suspension and trim.

Yeah, I know about the Euro R and the SiR Accords. Was there ever actually a vehicle called the "Accord Type R" though? Too my knowledge there wasn't. That's the perspective I was coming from when I said there wasn't one. I guess that's just nitpicking the terminology though...

I love this show, i watch Top Gear all the time. More recently Fifth Gear which is on Discovery Channel for us (Canada). Sweet car tho, i was completely unaware of this car. 210HP is damn good. I want one.

Hey, even if it wasn't, ya gotta have something to get stitched on your custom leathers, and it looks pretty kick ass in the new civics. Badging in a little lame though. go debadged.
