1 Rockford Fosgate Punch P1000-1BD Mono Amp - $378.35 (http://www.techronics.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=8013)

1 Rockford Fosgate RFC2D 2 Farad Capacitor - $146.55 (http://www.techronics.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=8030)

2 Rockford Fosgate RFK4 4 Guage Wire Kit - $80.55 Each (http://www.techronics.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=8668)

1 Alpine MRP-F600 4-Channel Amp - $267.15 (http://www.techronics.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=8301)

2 Sonic Sub Box: 1SV12 - $34.99 Each (http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_7498_Sonic+Sub+Box-+1SV12.html#)

1 Dynamat 10455 Bulk Kit - $124.55 (http://www.techronics.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=2219)

Totaling - $1586.28

i found all these on www.techronics.com seemed to be the cheapest site. And so my plan for the trunk set up would be have an angled, ported box containing 1 sub on each side of the trunk, then in the middle have my power cap and both amps, dynamat everywhere of course and blue neon lining the trunk.. tell me what you think, pros and cons.. thanks guys

the prices are good, but check out ebay. You can find most of that stuff on ebay for less. Also you might want to consider a set of components for the front instead of the 2ways. And the biggest thing for me is to be able to listen to the speakers before buying.

+1 Definitely see if you can listen to them before buying. See if you can get the reviews from Crutchfield while your at it to.

I would recomend the infinity kappa perfect for the front. I have them and love them. Rated at 100 wats rms, but they will handle much more. Also they sound perfect even when pushing them hard. I got a set for $150 shipped off ebay.

i've listened to all the speakers at best buy and they sound pretty good. sound like crap when the amp isn't hooked up to them but i plan on getting the amp.. their rated for 100 rms and 300 peak.. and nothin but good reviews on them.. why would you recommend components up front? there is this set that i found: Alpine SPR-17S 6-1/2"/6-3/4" ( rated 110 rms and 330 peak) for $132.15 Alpine SPR-17S 6-1/2"/6-3/4" Car Audio Component Speaker System

best buy is not the place to go for car stereo stuff

well i just went to listen to the speakers that i planned on putting into my car cause no one else i know has them hooked up..

But besides the speakers do you think the amp and subs will sound good together?

I am not an expert but I would say it depends on the music you listen to, the orientation of the box and whether or not the box fits the requirements for the subs. I personally have a JL box that came with two JL tens as a package deal from the local audio shop.

yeah i usually get the package deal also, but i cant find a package deal for single alpine type r's so i chose the sonic box, vented not bandpass cause i was told that bandpass would sound bad.. the link is in the first thread if you want to check them out, they are second to last on the list

I have had several systems in the past, and I still, against all other's opinions, swear by Audiobahn. Great sound quality, good prices, and with the right box/amp/setup, they sound fantabulous. 400 watts rattled my hatch to pieces.

Yeah but Audiobahn went out of Business. I used to compete nationwide for stereo competitions, and no one ever had audiobahn equipment, except for me, My crossover was the only thing and thats cause it was $20. lol

They used to make really good equipment, its just there is a lot better stuff out there for the price.

Dont buy a bandpass box!

? anything to back that up? Its a hybrid of sound and raw thump. Best of both worlds. (Sealed vs ported) You really can't beat a bandpass. I'm not talking out of my ass here, I was into competition audio for several years.

I used to compete for audio, and no one ever had a bandpass box. They are actually bad for the subs. Because with all that air that is being pushed out of the subs, its hitting off the glass and coming right back at them. I have seen people blow there subs up because of this. Its not like its an every day thing, but it does happen.

I used to compete with the worlds best in stereo competitions and everyone there had a sealed or ported box, that was either custom built, or store bought. You did not see 1 bandpass box out there.

bandpass = poo

have someone build a box to the specs for the sub you would be surprised at the difference between a properly made box and a random universal store bought box. As far as best buy not bein the place to buy car audio, well, i work for the company and there are select few things i will buy to put in my vehicles from this place. I am the lead installer for my store and if it were me i would go look at another car audio store to see what they have available cause there is tons of better things in the car audio world than what can be seen at best buy. you want good stuff at a decent price go here Elemental Designs

I have a 8" in a bandpass that will blow the seals of my doors and trunk. Bandpasses are good as long as the subwoofer was designed for it, unfortunately few are.

However, if I ever add some bass extension to another car of mine, I'll grab some of those 50W mini subwoofer/amp combos, and put them underneath the driver and passenger seats. That's all it really takes. Then again, I hate seeing speakers/boxes.
