So, long story short, my mom's boyfriend is a pervert, a manipulator, and a complete idiot.

Basically, I went to him to use his tools to fix my headgasket. I offered to pay him to use them, he declined. So, I was about halfway through, then I had to go to Washington. I came back and gave him a call asking when I could finish up. He basically told me to get my car out of his garage, he didn't want me working on it, then pretty told me what a piece of shit I was. He's known me vaguely for, I'd say, about a year total. He left my car out in the rain for two days with the sunroof open and left my oil filled valve cover in the passenger seat. My car now smells like ass and I have oil all over the floor.
I offered to come get my car, push it out of his garage if he ever needed me to, and basically take care of anything he didn't want to do. Then he goes and does that.
A little background? This is all coming from a guy who's offered to pay me for sex.

Before anyone asks, I know it was stupid to go to him to use his tools, but I don't know anyone that's into cars at all and I'm pretty much broke. To have a shop do it would've costed at least $700.

So, any ideas on what to do? Guys like him never get what's coming to them.

well your hands are tied, if he is the only one around and a shop want do it then only other this is to do it your self. with the help from us.
 
What about asking the guys at the machine shop? I'm sure that they might want to make some money on the side. I know you said you're broke, but it's an option you could exercise. If you explained your situation and asked them what they would charge, they just might do it, and prolly for cheaper than most shops.

Every machine shop I have encountered has been full of good people and they always did work on the side.

Worth a try.

dude if i was around you could just ask me to beat his ass on grounds of honda abuse and i would gladly have served him up some whupass :cool: actually since its a honda that would be all it took to prompt me to do so:ph34r:
 
Best I can tell you is hit up a pawn shop. Pick out a craftsman socket set and a couple of extentions and 10/12mm wrenches. If you go craftsman they won't charge you an arm and a leg like snap-on stuff, same warranty (free no questions asked replacement). Hit up auto zone and get a "great neck" ratchet. (Cheap, but incredible ratchets for the price) Or, hit up sears and get a basic craftsman tool set, usually one on sale for $99 that has pretty well everything you need except for a torque wrench. Honda's don't require eleventy billion specialized tools to work on, very simple stuff.

I know you're broke but its pretty well your only option at the moment. You can do all the work except for torquing everythign down. For that, hit up auto zone and borrow one for free.
 
Do you have any friends around with dads. Maybe they would be willing to loan you some tools.
 
Pretty much what phyregod said. I would probably clue your mom into the fact that he is trying to pay you for sex too. I would get your car out of there as soon as possible. It would be pretty shitty if the next thread involving you and your car at his place started out with "Well he was drunk and......" The dude sounds like a douche. I would get as far away from him as possible. Even if you have to scrounge up the cash to tow your car some place else.

+++ usually the cost of AAA for a year (3 tows plus other stuff) costs the same as one cash tow bill. then you're never left hanging...
