i have a 2003 acura rsx base model how can i move the odometer reading back 10,000miles if i change the odometer for a newer model odometer will it automatically lower the odometer reading or do i have to change something else??? any advice apprecieted thankyou.

if it is anything like the mitsubishi digital clusters, the mileage is stored in the speedometer gauge itselg.

reason being i changed the head and made it vtec s type with the 5 spd tranny works pretty good and more pikup but i would like the car to say 60000 miles instead of the actual mileage since the engine has lower miles on it

Just don't. No real need for that, and the car doesn't have 60k on it, it has 70k on it, reguardless of what engine it has in it.

odometers are designed specifically for the purpose of telling you the vehicle mileage, and are designed so they cannot be rolled back. many designers have failed, but that is beside the point. Just leave it alone.

:werd:

The point of the odometer is to tell you how many miles the vehicle has been driven since it was built, not roughly how many the engine has on it. Rolling it back is completely illegal and just plain unnecessary...
