i dunno man the only thing i could think of is that maybe the d15 didnt generate enough boost to blow anything off? i have no idea for sure:confused:

its normal i know that it will really only do it good under load, but i forget why its like that, but its normal

me and ahhhvtec must be constantly clicking that 'unread post'

load on the motor is the only way to build up enough boost pressure to actually blow off...

The only reason you see cars that come from the factory turbo'd able to blow off from just reving up is because you are hearing the diverter valve shoot what little boost was made, back into the intake manifold.

or there was too heavy of a spring in the BOV causing there to not be enough pressure to open it?

and you need load on the motor to build any amount of boost... I don't care if an adjustable blow off valve had cotton balls in it, you still need boost to blow off.
