so as i was driving home today i hear some weird noises from the engine bay. grinding noises. pull over, pop the hood and see the accessory pulley going everywhich way. UH OH!

tighen that ish up, start car, noises gone. get within a mile or so of my house and i can hear it again. oh well no big deal. putt the car down the hill in idle and pull into the driveway. take off tire and get the ratchet and breaker bar. sucker isnt coming off this time :)

SNAP!

so i have 3/4 of a crank pulley bolt in my hand.

Ehh fuck bolts lol... they always snap in the worst places and at the worst times.. I know theres no replacements for em.. I just like to bitch

Anyway that sucks man.. what you got planned now? 4g63t swap ftw :ph34r:

Me too, hell i freaked out when i accidentally snapped off one my corner valve cover studs. Good job though im glad you dont have to scrap the engine cause of a bolt.

word lol i was like well fuck what do i do now..
but glad ya got it out easy,
 
well now i need a tap and die set in fine thread. obviously the only one i found available is all coarse.
 
on the end of the bolt.you will need to cut a groove..like the one on the end of a thread chaser..then just screw it in and pull it back out,clean it up and do that a couple more times..it works very well
