im looking for a good setup for my EX to go out and do a little racing for fun can anyone help please

I spent $1700. It got me PIC Coilovers, PIC LCAs, 22mm ITR rear sway bar, asr subframe brace, asr swaybar endlinks, Neuspeed front strut bar, and HX rims with Azenis RT-615s. It's a pretty sweet setup.

I still dont know shit about suspension. So, Im gunna follow this thread and try to learn somethin. :)

I have a couple decent suspension threads already started if you want to search for them ;)

I've personally already asked most of the questions that could be asked so I try to help out as much as I can in the suspension department. I'm still seriously lacking when it comes to knowledge about motors, I just know the basics.

and OP as chaz said,BUDGET,will you be doing the installation yourself??
you do know that its not just about the springs you get,its the entire chassis

Not trying to thread jack, but Im tryin to get more info for the OP.

Say he gets a set of coilovers, the obvious other suspension "musts" for road racing would be sway bars and strut tower bars. What, if any, are some other parts that would be worth their cost for a nice setup?

For road racing a front sway bar is a must if you go with like a 22mm rear sway bar otherwise the car will be too tail happy, good for autocross, not good for long sweepers. Neuspeed front and rear strut bars, new energy suspension bushings. Password JDM spherical trailing arm bushings would be a good addition. 205/50/r15s would be a good tire size to go with. Upgraded brake fluid. Brembo blank rotors and HP hawk pads I think the usuals usually recommend?

Yes, Brembo blanks w/hawks is what I always hear being suggested.

To the OP: 1000-2000 will get you a really nice setup. Just follow the advice given above, check out some other setups on the web. You'll get a decent idea of what works together just based upon an hour or so of research.

Oh and I forgot, an ASR subframe brace is an ABSOLUTE MUST if you upgrade to a larger sway bar, (it keeps the bigger sway bar from tearing your subframe out by bracing it)
