Well I went autocrossing today. It was a lot of fun. The Rt-615s made a big difference. The fastest time in the AM sessions was a 50 second time by an Evo MR. My fastest time was 57 seconds, not bad considering it was a fast course that favored faster cars.

Sadly no pictures, I couldn't find anyone that wanted to go with me :(.

Next time I need to remember white shoe polish, I think my fronts had a little too much air in them, they didn't look like they were using as much tread as the backs (I had the fronts at 37 and the backs at 34).

The next autocross is the 4th and the 5th. Hopefully I can get someone to go with me on that day. It's down in Packwood, anyone on here maybe want to go?

If I had my car done I'd be down. Not even joking, 300 miles or not, that'd be a blast. Maybe sometime next spring, I'm not really too sure when I'll have it running.

BSCC and the BEAC are both really good autocross clubs, really laid back and friendly. Aw fuck, I forgot to take pictures, someone there had this amazing EF hatch. Words can't even begin to describe it. So many custom modifications done to it.

Hmm, I think the laid back atmosphere would be perfect for what I want to do. Just simply get out there and drive my car the way I wish I could all the time (obviously wear on the car and the law don't permit this).

Do they have many events in Washington? I'll have to do some research.

Yea and if you're having trouble with getting lost or finding lines, you can always get someone to ride along with you. At the BSCC events all you have to do is put a cone on the roof of your car and they'll find an instructor to ride along with you for free. You can also usually find another driver to ride with to see what the fast lines are too.

Go here, at the top left there's a schedule Western Washington Sports Car Council there aren't many left since autocross season is wrapping up.

37/34 is way too bloody high.

Umm yea, thanks for telling me real helpful at this point in time, I already learned that the hard way /sarcasm

Yeah looking at the events I don't think I'll be able to make any of em, probably spring though. I might make the drive just to check it out on the 19th of OCT at Bremerton.

If you decide to go let me know and I'll make the drive down there too. I've never been to a nwr/scca event before, so I'm not sure how those ones go.

damn autox sounds like fun..when i get my car up and running im gonna try to go with turbomirage, but as for the tire thing,
you set the fronts the same and then the rears the same??

I want the rears to be a little grippier than the fronts. My car is already tail happy enough through the slalom sections.
