To put it quite simply, I felt used and unappreciated. Some watery bint that I once considered a friend blindsided me, out of what seems to be either raging hormones or a raging inferiority complex (my wife thinks it's both), because she didn't understand the very simple concept of seniority. Look it up and argue with the definition, not me. Then, several other members proceeded to further invalidate the time and effort I've spent here. That led me to believe that my contributions are now expected rather than respected, except by a comparative handful of members. So, I'm taking a break from donating my time to this site. The last time I took a few months off, the technical forums fell into shambles. At least this time there are a few people stepping up to fill the void. Kudos to you guys.
Let's get this straight. I crossed the line. No questions about it and I sent a PM to Injen the same night stating that fact, which he can verify if he so pleases. I also sent an Admin message stating that I understood that I crossed the line, which said Admin can verify if he so pleases. What really pissed me off was the blatant and hypocritical double standard employed in my banning. In my time lurking in the last few weeks I've paid special note to a number of Brian's personal friends crossing that same line many times, without reproach. I've been the target of vile personal attacks a number of times in my years here, but since I'm not a little bitch the only time I've really complained was when a hit was put out on me. Coincidentally, that member only received a slap on the hand. Fuck that double-standard bullshit.
Yes, I do moderate on another forum. The head Mod is a police officer and Iraq vet. In a totally unrelated issue he told me, "Scott, your knowledge and moderation skills are spot on, stick around". This is also a community that prides itself on open communication and respect. So you know what? Fuck you and everything you
think you know about me because you don't know anything other than what I
choose to present. Take your bullshit, armchair, internet psychology and shove it up your corn hole, m'kay. I say this all the time, if you want to know something about me
ask me instead of making ignorant assumptions based on limited and subjective information. But that'd mean that you'd have to be a real person too and we just can't have that, now can we?
I need to address the following issues as well. I addressed one woman, not all women. If you don't understand that, I suggest you look into the state of your own ego. If you've never seen me around children, and none of you have, you need to shut your fucking cake hole about it. As far as my ego goes. All humans have an ego and all performing musicians have them as well or they wouldn't enjoy performing so much. As I often say though, if you want to work as a musician you need to have your ego in check and people seem to truly enjoy working with me. Refer to the last quote in my signature, from SNL house drummer Shawn Pelton. You know nothing about my private life and I'll validate those ignorant comments no more than that.
