Ok this is what I need to know im getting closer to buying motor Im looking to getting in auto-x and track but still want to have the HP to move down the drag strip in pretty good times. I was told b16 with b16 tranny is best for auto-x and another guy that does autox said to just save go gsr swap lost there need more input. i was also think just buying b16 get LSD tranny start saving for turbo. So if any one could help me or point me in the way i could find more info sites stuff like that thanks for help and time. Or build sites for Autocross

I'm autocrossing with my stock d15b7 and it's more than enough right now. Try autocrossing it first with the stock engine and learn how to drive.

Well i would run my D but its burning oil so i might as well do a swap so like i ask before b16 with b16 tranny, GSR, or b16 with lsd i want to know what the good and bad are of the swaps or point me in the direction for more info

It can't be burning as much oil as my car. I'm burning a quart at least every 200 miles.

Again, swapping a motor in autox puts you in an unlimited class. It will be majorly out classed. It will be fun, but you will not be competitive.

  • 1993-1995 Honda Del Sol Si (US)
  • 1993-1995 Honda Del Sol ESi (European)
True. Next time I'll clarify that only one from the same model/year and us spec. Either way he wasn't talking about a d-series swap.

swapping in a B throws him up against heavily modded AWD turbo cars :)

not true...

an EF won street mod last year at nationals if IRRC.

either way, pick up a rule book if thats what you're building the car for.

As a general rule, the more you spend, the more likely you will get your ass kicked.

Well I stand corrected then. I'd still recommend just running a few autocrosses with your stock engine first though.

The fastest car in at autox in my area is a stock b20 eg hatch with a type r trans. The car is gutted, and has tein flex coilovers. He consistently beats turbo miatas and z06 vettes.

like i said the best investment to going faster is DRIVER MODS. go take a driving class. stop fapping, go sign up.
